Berea may be open forever.

Berea may be open forever.

Truly that is sad... they had a decent season I can recall in the late 90s?

I heard that the cheerleaders stop cheering and sit down mid-game....

Isnt Shawnee open now?

Yes Shawnee is open. I keep hearing rumors about Berea shutting it down. Why would they do that?

Franklin Co.

Will Berea be in the distict next year?

Carroll is still open. They have about nine to ten applicants. Anyone interested should still apply! It is a great opportunity to prove you can rebuild a program.

Will Berea be in the distict next year?

No, They will not be able to rejoin district play until the 2009 Season. This after they informed KHSAA back in January that they would not participate in district play for the upcoming season.

Anything interesting coming out of any of these schools?

Berea is a great place to live and raise your kids. It is dishearting to hear that is no interest from any coaches on taking the job. The kids at Berea are great, and parents are too. I don't know if it is the administation or the lack of courage for a coach to take the job. Evidently the expecations will not be set high, they just want someone to come in and coach their young men and give them a chance. This would be a great program for a young coach to come into.

I assure you that there is more to the story than coaches not wanting it. There has to be some reason why they cant keep a coach.
