Bellevue Girls Basketball
I have watched Bellevue play on occassion. So I will offer my opinion, FTIW... 1. Coach Sorrell is doing a good job. He is replacing a very successful coach with a lot of experience in Bev Smith. Obviously, being new to the varsity head coach position, he is developing as well as the girls. 2. As "Dude" said, talent is cyclical. Overall, the upperclass is not as talented as it has been in recent years. The talent at Bellevue lies in the Soph and Jr. classes. I would bet that they will drastically better next year. 3. Bellevue basketball is typically a place that attracts young coaches and assistants who develop and move on. I do not see many experienced, successful coaches beating a path to coach at Bellevue. So, I am curious as to why someone would blame the administration? If you know it, say it! JMHO

Class 2A: Fort Campbell 26 Newport Central Catholic 23
Congrats to Ft. Campbell. You deserved the victory!!!! I am from NKy and have seen many teams play over the last few years and have seen NCC on several occassions. I know many Bred faithful like to think that play with class and character, hold themselves to a higher standard, and do not participate in the trash talk and extra-curriculars that come with it. But they are wrong. NCC plays just on the fine line of rules like a lot of teams do. They taunt, trash talk, push, and a little more. This is not to condemn NCC. A lot of players from teams all over the state do the same tactic because they feel that is the way football is supposed to be played. I disagree with that. Football can be played without the pushing, pointing, and taunts. My point is that some teams followers think they dont do this; when indeed they do. I'm sure the Falcons contributed some themselves.

Class 2A: Fort Campbell 26 Newport Central Catholic 23
First NCC td was off the lateral return. The next two were off a tipped interception and a fumble both close to the Falcon end zone. Both teams had many miscues, but NCC really did hurt themselves the most, because those mistakes were self-inflicted.

Frankfort v. Beechwood Predicitions
To be the man, you have to beat the man. Right now, Beechwood is the man in Class A. I doubt they have seen a back with Weavers' size and speed and he will give them fits. However, Beechwood is very tough on "D" and while they may bend, I dont see them breaking. Beechwood 45 Frankfort 14

Gallatin 33 Bellevue 28
Simply put, Bellevue made too many mistakes (5 turnovers). Gallatin didnt. Congrats to Gallatin.

Bellevue vs. Gallatin Co./First Round Playoff
^^^are reasons the same as excuses? I watched them play and think I know why it was close. However, the coach, I am sure will not make excuses for the poor play. He is very respectful of the effort given by Gallatin Co.

Didn't Trimble start the year with the A-11 offense? Are they still running it?
