I think that it would be interesting to see how everybody ranks the top 10 in each class with this new alignment. for example:

6A)1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

and so on..any thoughts?

In 2A Corbin is the team I've heard most hyped but that comes from living down here and what other people are expecting due to the amount of players returning. The most notable name is Quarterback Clint Cashen. He has been a common name across the state since his first start during his freshman year. He has a slew of others surrounding him. It is also to my understanding that Danville is also in 2A so they obviously should be mentioned. Sam Harp always fields one of the better teams in Kentucky regardless of class. Who are some of the other teams in 2A that we should be keeping an eye out for. Bardstown? Middlesboro?

2A normals will not be happy with the addition of Danville and Bardstown! Danville is thunder and lightning. Bardstown kills you with so much speed! I am GLAD we do not have to make that trip to title town anymore!

Watch out for Lloyd w/Yeagle running the show!

NCC is in AA next year too, so they should be towards the top of the list.

I would agree with this list. But Id flip Pikeville and Frankfort. Id also replace Paintsville with Hazard. From what I gather Paintsville will be lucky to have enough kids to field a team if the rumors are true.

I don't know much about the new alignments so I will wait until someone posts something from each class, before I post. Don't worry, i'm not gonna copy

In 6A, I hear Trinity, St. X, and Male will be ok.

11-36: THE REST

There will be definite distinct tiers this season.

1A Preseason

1. Beechwood

2. Mayfield

3. LCA

4. Raceland

5. Pikeville

6. Lousiville Holy Cross

7. Frankfort

8. Hazard

9. Bethlehem

10. Crittenden Co.

With all due respect to a local team, Bethlehem will really have to work hard to earn anything this year. They lost everybody, including the head coach.

I was looking at the 1A class and was basically ranking them on how they did last year and the strength of the program. I know Bethlehem will have a rough road to make some noise in the playoffs, but I would still consider them in the top 10 preseason, do to how they did last year.

What are your thoughts on the 1A class for 2007?

I'm interested in what people think about the new 1A.
