Bellevue plays a good game and is starting to get some hits. Real tough one today when they take on Tate.

It was 16 - 9 when Bryan missed the long 3. Again all I am doing is giving an opinion on how a good team could beat/compete with Holmes. They did stand around against the zone. They did not look comfortable in the half court. Same as they did not look comfortable in the half court game NCC made them play.

I doubt that Bellevue's zone "helped Holmes." They did not need much help. The zone at least forced Holmes to run some clock on several possessions. So I think the coaches had the right game plan as far as packing it in. Now my post also said Holmes had several 3 and 4 shot possessions which is the downfall of any zone especially when you can't match up at all.

Okay IF you saw the game you know it was 16 - 9 with 3:58 to go in the half. Then Holmes went on a huge run benefitted by the Holmes defense and great pressure not execution in the half court:fire:. Why ask questions like that? When Bellevue was able to keep Holmes in a half court offense Holmes took 25 - 35 seconds each trip before shooting. If you look at my post as a whole it states that Holmes used pressure defense to score quickly when forced to play in the half court did not score quickly.

Yeah Bryan actually did a very good job of running the point for Bellevue. Realizing Bellevue may not be a top ten team in Northern Ky. a couple of things struck me. Bellevue's zone slowed Holmes down early. They packed in inside the FT line. Holmes showed no ability to hit the three. Now they did play volleyball on the backboard and had several 3 and 4 shot trips. When the score went haywire in the 2nd quarter it was the pressure and creating turnovers. IF anyone is going to beat Holmes I think it comes down to forcing them in to a 1/2 court game which is what NCC was able to do. Also give Coach Hensley the "Class Act" Award. With a minute or so to go Holmes was in a 4 corners and Bellevue was trying to sub in. He called a 30 sec. time out to allow Bellevue to sub.

Well at the 4 minute mark of the 2nd quarter it was 16 - 9 then in a matter of 2 minutes it was 33 -10.

He had been sick for 2 days and played limited and I don't believe scored at all.

NCC's loss was at the PIT (Elder). They played a very good Lloyd team the night before (lloyd was ranked #2 in the region at thay time) They were ranked #1 in the state.

Hunter Jones looks great in practices and will most probably be amazing on the field.

Once again getting facts straight should be important. Hunter Jones has been at practice every day. Would that qualify as playing?

First of all get the facts straight. Kessen was nominated and was on the ballot. As was Derek Bryan. You should not point fingures at a staff for not nominating when that was not the issue........

Red devil that is funny. Seriously though I think the NCC faithful would be looking for a little different style of play out of this group. The bigs inside are not very good compared to top teams bigs and thus should be setting screens.

Okay NCC has the best 3 point shooter in the region (subjective I know) and he doesn't play much after scoring in the high teens the first 20 something games and they run no double screens, fades, nothing for him...........I don't understand running an offense around a post player who is mediocre at best especially against a good team like Highlands. NCC needed points and really didn't use Lipscomb or Connor effectively at all......oh well

No one of the current staff members takes the team on game days. They all practice together.

LLoyd have only wanted to seed in the current district because they are pretty much guaranteed a 2 spot. If you move St. Henry in they are looking at a 3 which is not much help/.

Bellevue has a Middle School team 100% paid for by the Reds. They are in a league with 7 Cincinnati Schools.

HS interesting scenario but what I really want to see is classification. Anyway Dayton has a very good young team that has beaten Bellevue once already this year.

MC that would do justice as much as the way districts are drawn up anyway. Remember the good old days when you had the maps of NCC and Holmes together and Highlands Scott and Brossart together................Any state that does not have Bourbon Co. and Paris in the same district...................Dixie and Covcath not in the same district.....oh I forgot Holmes and CovCath are so much closer than the 3 Dixie Highway schools

That was sarcasm about several people who have complained on various threads about Bellevue/Dayton but not Villa OC I thin kwe are all aware of teh seed vs draw decision
