Congrats to the Birds. But thats just what I was talking about in reference to the district parings. Pulling them out of a hat -- thats crazy. Two of the top three teams were eliminated early -- both NewCath and Newport. No offense to Bellevue but there's no way that they have the talent to compete in the 9th region this year. Therefore NewCath or Newport should be representing the 36th district in the ninth.

AS I recall Hioghlands beat Newcath in the exact same tournament by 20 plus so the score should be no surprise here. Holmes, CovCath and Highlands have proven to be on a level abouve the rest of the field so why begrudge a small school a taste of the "big time" once every 22 years? And by the way, the Tigers will play hard. They always do.

I'm sure that the Tigers will play hard. But I was referring to NewCath and Newport as being in the top three in the district. By no means are they in the top three of the region this year.

Kinda surprised to not see Kessen there... How many did he have vs Highlands

He had been sick for 2 days and played limited and I don't believe scored at all.

Not very good would be my assessment. If Dayton held him down and he only got 5 against Highlands I would think Arrez shuts him out.
