  1. I really hope SK can pull this one out, not just because I would love to see the 6A title make a stop in NKY.
  2. What type of defense did gallatin run because I just cant see them matching up with the guard play of sk. I was expecting a big game out of freshman cody chambers to make a name for himself. Congrats to GC
  3. Congrats to Walton. Keep up the good work. Congrats.
  4. 1. Anderson 2. Oldham 3. Shelby 4. Owen 5. Simon Kenton 6. Gallatin Walton - Sleeper team. If the Bowlin, Ponzer and Vance can hit shots in the 8th Region, they can beat some bigger sized teams.
  5. Walton will win by 10+ The guards for Walton are going to have to show up big throughout the year if they want to get anywhere this year. We'll have to see who takes leadership this year for WV.
  6. GC by 10. SK is down this year, and has lost a lot over the past 2-3 years.
  7. I see what you're saying about the history of Simon Kenton on game days with no school. And I dont see this being different, I would love to see SK pull it out, however the prior meeting was to much of a one sided affair in my eyes to pick SK in an upset. A little closer this time though. Boone by 14
  8. Ponzer will be the focal point of Walton, and Sul. will be a major roll in the offense. I would be less concerned about them scoring but rebounding and playing defense. I think it will be and up and down year for the bearcats.
  9. Couldn't agree with you more .And unlike some people think, SK doesn't have the physical sophomores that are ready. Or else they would be playing.
  10. Congradulations on a good career I suppose. By playing that much you should realize the difference of a Thursday night freshman game to a Friday night varsity game. The coaches realize this and thats why these kids aren't playing like you think they should. I agree with you on the fact that you try putting fear into starters eyes by showing them that if they dont do their job that it may be in jeopardy, however you save that situation for practice not during the heat of a game. Im sure that coach Marksberry has tried to mix things up during practice and if it was working in practice then he would stick with it when it came to Fridays. So maybe these sophomores you talk about need to start proving themselves in practice and they will get the opportunity to play on Fridays, its obvious that quite a few sophomores already have and that makes it obvious that Marksberry isn't against playin underclassmen and does his best to put the best 11 on the field.
  11. Walton will be down this season, but look for the Ponzer boy to step up for them as the season goes on.... It will be a rough season.
  12. I think Walton will have it's up's and down's this coming season, but will see good things at times. No proven, "go to girl" yet, like Hargett and such, but will have a good season of learning things they might have missed these last few season. Ready for the season.
  13. Good game so far. Glad to see Hargett doing well.
  14. Excited to see what will happen with Walton the next few years, can't wait!
