Bardstown Bold Prediction Thread

Featured Replies

I boldly predict Bardstown will not lose any game against a fellow "AA" opponent in the 2007 season.

Can you post a schedule? I would like to see who they are playing to see if that prediction is a good one or not.

Do not forget the Admirals will be dropping anchor in your district this year.

I predict that Bardstown will beat Danville due to the speed and shear talent that they bring to the table along with a numerous amount of returning players.

I predict Bardstown will not be the leading rushing team in their district....:)

Sounds like an interesting rivalry brewing here:fight: Let the games begin!

...It is a bold prediction thread, not that it can't be done.

I think they will be. Other Danville posters have remarked that Danville will be more balanced and possibly even throw more this year. Bardstown returns Kelvin Scott, a feature back, to go along with some really excellent fullbacks, as well as 4 of 5 offensive lineman, so I think the run game will be solid.

Interestingly, and not predicting they will be in Danville or Bardstown's class, but Washington Co. has been steadily improving for a couple of years, and I think it would be a mistake to overlook them this year.

Regarding Kelvin Scott, he is now the fastest player on the team with the '07 class graduating. On monday he posted a 4.5 sec 40 yard dash time.

Kebe is fast. However, I think that Rashaun Phillips has the potential to be a D1 recruit if he can develop that mean streak you need to play at the next level. He has all of the other tools.

No doubt, he has the tools but he has to have the work ethic and will power, not that he doesn't, along with that mean streak you mentioned. I think there are several college-level prospects on this 2007 tigers team.

Regaurding the Kelvin Scott time i think that it may have ben a 4.3 on his second attempt

The Tigers this year have some challenges for sure. They have a much tougher schedule, they need to fill some holes with the loss of A. J. Lewis, Paul Downs, Wenquel Graves and Brant Sheckles, and a new head coach. But what they have working in their favor is the return of solid performers like Kebe Scott, a bigger, stronger Ted Mattingly, a solid, capable QB Alex Smith, a talented Rashaun Phillips, return of reciever Andy Smith, Rashaud Barber the addition of kicker Logan Edelen, a strong line including Jeff Helton and the usual Bardstown speed. The defense will include all these guys and more and under the direction of Ron Koontz will again be solid. They also will benefit from the continuity of one of the strongest coaching staffs in the state, Dave Clark has been well primed for this job. The tough schedule will challenge these boys and make them stronger. Spring practice probably didn't reveal anything new because of the track and baseball schedules, but the guys who were there worked very hard. The dedication and focus of this senior dominated team will be the deciding factor this year, but look for the Tigers to uncover some new talent- they always do!

Oh, and how can I forget the return of all-state center Jeremy Gesser?

I agree afan the tigers do always uncover new talent and again will be contenders for the big show!
