2006-2007 Boys Coach of the Year – Jason Holland- Henry County

Congratulations to Coach Holland and all the players for their selection on this year’s All Eighth Region Team.

Seems like they might have voted on a whole career instead of just this year. Mike has had a wonderful career at SK but missed an awful lot of time this year. I really thought Josh Hurd had POY in the bag but congratulations to Mike. The other thing that really stands out to me is that Elbert of SK and Edmonson of Gallatin didnt make the team.

I agree....I thought daniel neely had it in the bag

A lot of people seemed to think this. But I think that Hurd actually deserved it more than anyone.

I would have thought Hurd over Hester since Mike missed a bunch of games.

I think everyone remembers Mike's showing in the 8th Regional tournament from last year. I am glad that his injury didn't cost him what was his to begin with:thumb:

:thumb: I competely agree, could not of said it better. Congrats to all that made this team.

I agree. Hester will not win the POY due to his injury which kept him out for a while.

He did win.

He did win.

shouldn't have won, but congratulations.

If you base it on number of games played he shouldn't have won, I agree there but I guess the coaches thought he was good enough for the award even though he only played about 15 games.

Hester is an awesome player, but Neeley should've won. He turned a team around that would've won 7-10 games maybe IMO, to 21-5 and Owen having one of their best seasons in a while. Nobody in this region impacted their team like Neeley did. Congrats to all players though. Overall, I think the list is pretty good.

He did win.

Sorry for my mistake.

Sure would be nice to see some stats for Hurd, Hester and Neeley. Does anyone have access to this information? Congrats to Hester but sure thought it would have come down to Neeley or Hurd.

Neely should have been poy but lets just hope him and Hester get the chance to match up in regionals. And I just want to say congrats to all the guys who made the team this year.
