  1. Congrats Mr. Nunn. I have heard nothing but good things about you from one of your coaches! Coach Reid and Knorr are good people. Work hard, go to camp in shape!
  2. Shelton kid needs to play as big as he is offensively and stay out of foul trouble obviously. Get out and run rebels, that is what I think you do well!
  3. If you do not want to play for your coach, at least play for each other, or your parents ( based on the amount of time and support they put into you), play for your school, play for something or some reason! But you continue to stand around and pout, complain and point the finger at some one else and take no personal responsibility is wrong. you guys are the ones out there playing defense (or in the case of last night lack there of). I saw countless times where people opened up like garden gates and let #3 go right to the hole. Trimble simply wanted it more! STEP UP TO THE CHALLENGE, and play like you are capable of. Regardless of what is being called from the sidelines. Because I have seen nights when you do what you have been asked to do by the staff and WIN! fix it!
  4. Congrats Brian! The "HEAD" is a great place You and Keith Welch another commitment should enjoy your time there together. Look forward to meeting you!
  5. Carroll County DB Keith Welch has verbally comitted and will sign next week with Morehead State University to play his college football. Congrats!
  6. Best D game of the season for Carroll. Hit the boards pretty well against Anderson's size which they have plenty of. Somebody put a lid on the Carroll basket at halftime. Nothing fell in the third. Not really as bad as score indicates.
  7. Nice win GC. I was just glad to see a close and competitive one for a change. Coming from behind is what GC does. They have been doing it for the last three or years Carroll had a well balanced night. Still need to keep some of the negative emotions in check and not be so suprised when they get a fouls called on them. Carroll cuts off the baseline and takes more than one charge the outcome may have been different. Going to the baseline is part of GC's scheme. Carroll played much better D and shot well from the arc. Enjoyed the game and seeing all my GC freinds! Yes, you can have freinds from Sawville if you live in Carrollton. Go Cats and Go Buckeyes! Not!
  8. Also, remember you are in the ninth region and football season has only been over for a few short weeks and the football fans are still complaining about all stars and where kids are going to be playing football in school. Basketball will always play second to hoops in the ninth, and more and more in the state of Ky. year round.
  9. DIET MT. DEW - nothing better than that sweet nectar! Owen Co. the only HS I have been to that have it this year. Augusta is an awesome gym and concession stand with super nice people! Great thread BUTTLES! See you Friday.
  10. Sounds like to much attention to soon. I do not know that he has the speed to be a receiver in the SEC if he gets back in good graces. YOu could turn into a tight end like Tamme, which as far as I can see would be a good thing!
  11. Nice win Boys! You did not care who scored, rebounded etc. The outcome was what you wanted! Very strong D and you did not fold. Henry seemed a bit lax in the stands and I believe they thought it would be easy win! NOt your normal Henry team of last and this year.
  12. It just gets old that kids with similiar stat lines get snubbed because they are not on the top teams or teams with poor records or on a team with a kid going to a big name school. There are kids that are running for the same yards behind lines avg. height and weights of 5'7, 165-170 lbs. Etc., etc., etc. I stop now, wasting energy.
  13. Nice job GC! Just shows, if you do not care who scores, who rebounds, not scared to put forth the effort to commit to stingy D and properly run offense and not worry who gets their name and pic in the paper you can do nice things! Hats off to the boys and staff @ GC.
  14. Attention All GC haters, They just keep winning! Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
  15. 2 transfers and a kid back who did not play last year. That is the difference. They play very hard and would not be a team that I would want to play come district time.
  16. Like Strike 3 said it is a group effort. Coaches should play a greater role in getting kids noticed but they either do not have the time or just do not want to mess with it. I would say it is the parents job along with student to sell themselves. That has worked for us! But man is it much more work than I ever estimated! But I am sure it is about to pay off. We have had Wofford, Ky. State, Cumberlands, Union, Morhead State, and Cincinnati at the school.
  17. Sweet! Glad to see the score on this one! Wish Coach Sanders and the Desales boys the best, the rest of the way. Prove to them that this is not the weakest district in 2a.:ylsuper:
  18. Buttels, you know northern Ky does not claim Gallatin or Caroll and just barely Grant. Great job Henry. It is always nice to see one of the Oldhams go down.
  19. I have been to the site and presently have a child enrolled with the program. With him being signed up we still spend at a minimum of 2 and up to 12 hours per week dedicated to the process. If he signs with one of his top three schools the money was well spent. Other than that up until this point, I should have kept my money. You can make the contacts yourself finding the staff directories on the schools athletic sites and contacting the position coach or call and find out which coach recruits the state you are from.
  20. Frankfort fans. Trimble is a much different team without Bird. IMO better. They throw much more and does not allow teams to throw 8 or more in the box. I think it will be closer than expected. One game at a time Panthers. Hope you get your shot at the pizza box!
  21. Do not forget the fact that DeSales had a large number of guys out for that game 12 - 13 was the word on the street.
  22. Remeber the thread, D1 recruits. D1 is A and AA. Notice that the AA has D1 in front of it. Keith Welch of Carroll has offers from Wofford and Furman both D1aa/FCS schools. Also has interest from FBS thats D1A Troy and Ball State. Letters, and going to games and camps do not mean squat. When you get phone calls and e-mails after September 1 senior year talking official visits thats when you can mention schools. If it was about mail, then he would be going to Purdue. I am sure there are others out there who know what I am talking about. Best of luck to all recruits! Hope you Northern Ky. boys do not mind us posting on this thread.
  23. Serious about what, do you not believe what I posted. Really, do you think an athlete of his capability would just stop playing to cheer? Like I said, it was for fun and to give his body/mind a break to prepare for senior season football. Sorry you doubt my post. Don't hate, appreciate what all do as athletes. Be they be from Carroll, Gallatin, or Trimble. Small town folk need to stick together. There may come the day where we may need each other. Thanks TB & G. He will tell any guy out there that cheering is much harder than he ever imagined, but had fun. Any guy who doubts it go give it a try!
  24. Thank you to the staff and the players. Despite the record. It still ranks as 2nd most fun I have had coaching. My heat boys along with Jr. will always be 1st. 4 of the 13 seniors were part of that team. From Yellow Jackets to now, loved evry minute of it! It was ironic that Keith and Daniel went up against John Derry who they started out playing against in LaGrange in 4th grade. Thanks again for your time and efforts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. The game is over, let it go. Sorry about the loss Coach RM and TC. Look forward to seeing you this winter during hoop season. GC should be proud of there football program. Steelcurtain - Thanks for your positive words on Welch from CC. GC boys are good in my book.
