The Panthers did a good job of controlling the tempo of the game the first half...much slower than the Raiders are used to. CC led 23-22 at the half, thanks to a well-placed three by Keith Welch.

 

For some strange reason we wouldn't see much of Welch the 2nd half. The Raiders took advantage of several fast breaks to win the quarter 19-7, effectively giving themselves breathing room.

Carroll needs to work on the inside out game, Panthers have 3-4 really good 3 point shooters but the ball does not seem to come out to them. Missed Welch the second half, needed his toughness in the game. Hopefully, they will work it out before districts.

 

Congrats to Brett Boles and Keith Welch on Senior night. They will be missed next year.

I should say, also, that I enjoyed spending "quality" time with FridayNightLights again.

If you do not want to play for your coach, at least play for each other, or your parents ( based on the amount of time and support they put into you), play for your school, play for something or some reason! But you continue to stand around and pout, complain and point the finger at some one else and take no personal responsibility is wrong. you guys are the ones out there playing defense (or in the case of last night lack there of). I saw countless times where people opened up like garden gates and let #3 go right to the hole. Trimble simply wanted it more! STEP UP TO THE CHALLENGE, and play like you are capable of. Regardless of what is being called from the sidelines. Because I have seen nights when you do what you have been asked to do by the staff and WIN! fix it!
