If CAL wants to win the district title they CAN NOT have as many turnovers as they did in the first meeting. With the way Desales keeps the ball on the ground and grinds out the clock a turn over or two against the colts could end the season for CAL. This game should be the area game of the week and the most competitive of the 2nd round match ups.

DeSales is a season from having the best football they have had there in awhile. I think they get a taste of playoff glory this week. DeSales 21 - Christian Academy 17.

Im going to have to go with the Colts on this one.

DeSales: 35

CAL: 21

The Colts difficult schedule pays off for them in this one. CAL has been playing well, against inferior competition. It will catch up with them. Colts 28 CAL 17.

Agree with Fool #75. If CAL has turnovers, they lose.

If not, CAL 31-17.

Six points separated these two teams the first time, and although CAL is better coached now than they were the first time, DeSales is just too much for the Centurions. DeSales 35 CAL 14; just because Coach Sander is a class act.

I have 'touted' the young Colts since the preseason. I, too am impressed with their Coaching Staff as well as their Kids. I am glad they have hung in there and learned from the tough early season. I truly hope they go far into the playoffs. Good Luck....................:thumb::thumb:

All of the Colts are healthy and eager to get back on the field for a legitimate game this Friday at Manuel stadium. I feel as long as they play sound football and create turnovers this game could very well be over early. The momentum will be on their side with home field advantage.

Turnovers are truly the key. Whichever team makes fewer, or none at all, probably wins. As far as the game being over early, that is merely wishful thinking by fans from either side. CAL has too much offensive potential for the game to be over early. DeSales is well coached, also, and will not give up even if well behind. Should be one of the best games in the Louisville area. Good luck to both teams.

CAL will come to play and will not leave anything on the table. I agree, will be one of the best games in the area. Hope it will be covered as such as well.

CAL 15-14, in another good one.

CAL 15-14, in another good one.

I think it will be a little higher scoring than 15-14 and will not be that close as the team with the momentum will run with it. The final score will be somewhere in the 20's. I will be willing to say the higher score will make it to the 30's this game. Will be interesting to see.

Looking at KHSAA website, CAL has not scored less than 21 points in ANY game this season. In first go round, the paper said CAL had 4 or 5 turnovers as I recall. DeSales had zero. In addition, I heard discussion that DeSales had the ball almost twice as many minutes as CAL due to those turnovers. And with all that, DeSales only won by 6.

That is why it makes one wonder why CAL is not favored in this match-up. DeSales was favored to win the first match-up as well. DeSales has improved a lot since the first meeting. Has CAL made the necessary corrections? That will be determined Friday night and will have the makings of a great 2nd round playoff game.
