This was a great game. Both teams moved the ball but could not score.

North scored on the opening drive to make it 7-0.

Henry scored on a QB sneak by Yancey, but missed the PAT. It was 7-6 at the half. Henry Co.'s D took over in the 2nd half, and Henry's McClannahan scored on a 72 yard pass from Yancey. Henry treated on a couple of occassions, but could only get a Field Goal from Matt Doane.

North had 1 last try from the 16 yard line, but Henry's Brent Downey sacked the North's QB on 4th down with 20 seconds to go.

Big win for the Wildcats!!!:dancingpa

The win last night against North Oldham was a huge building block for Coach E., his staff and team. They are putting together a program the right way from the ground up and will graduate just six seniors from a district championship team this year. They have a brand new field house on site which will be equipped 1st class and the players are believing in what's happening. Hopefully more and more kids will become a part of this program. And it's very possible that with what is taking place in Henry County they could draw players from surrounding areas who want to be a part of something special. A lot of the local teams felt this was "their year" because they had senior dominated teams. This team was not considered to have much of a year by anyone other than its members. They are a group of over achievers with no quit in them. Hard work will beat talent when talent won't work hard. See you in Paducah! Good Luck! Go Cats!

I was at the game last night and I saw a team that would not be denied. Congratulations to Henry County. 5-0 against district foes. :thumb:

Where is the fieldhouse? I didn't notice it with all the construction.

The new fieldhouse is located to the northeast of the field. If you saw where Henry Co. came onto the field from at the beginning of the game or at halftime, they entered from where the fieldhouse will be located. It seems to be a pretty nice facility. It will also give teams a place to go during halftime instead of grazing in the nearby pasture

Now that is funny.

Henry County's School is surrounded by rich farm land.
