Henry Co. 15 North Oldham 7 (3A)

Well, it looks like the 'ol smart pill machine was right again about last Friday's game with North. Not a hard choice being that North is not physically as tough as Henry Co. The Cats defense rose to the occasion several times and shut North down after their first possession score. Henry is still improving as it gets it run game untracked. Paducah T. will be the toughest game of the year as it should be when you're playing in the third round of the state playoffs. There are only eight teams left to play for the ring. This is a great accomplishment for Henry County who was counted out early by many when their record was 2-2. A year like this is what is needed to start a tradition for your football program. From now on it will be an expectation to go deep in the playoffs each year. Not a pipe dream. They have cleared the most important hurdle. They have done it for the first time. They now know it is possible. Henry County will become a dangerous team. HC's many underclassmen will be a year older next year. No matter the outcome at Paducah Tilghman, this year is the start of a winning tradition at Henry County for many years to come. Good luck Cats!
