What does Carroll Co. need to do to improve in 2007/2008? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

They need a coaching change badly. I don't believe it's going to happen this year and Coach Miller is a good guy, he just can't seem to reach these kids.

Miller seems to be putting the time in to work with the boys this year, he just needs to start building the program from the Middle School up.

 

If you wait until they are on Varsity it is too late to change bad habits or teach some of the fundamentals that are needed.

 

I still think that this team is going to win quite a few games and if they play together they may surprise some. The addition of Keith Welch back to basketball may add the depth that they need to compete in this district. The juniors on the team got quite a bit of playing time on varsity last year and the soph class is very talented.

Welch is a great athlete. This team could surprise some people.

This is a very young team. The core of this team are sophomores and juniors. In order to achieve any type of success this year or in the the years to come this core group needs to see the majority of the minutes.

I agree, this group has won many of their district tournaments as 8th graders and freshman and is talented. I am sure good things are going to happen for them and I hope this is the year.

 

I do think they may struggle at the beginning of the year but will finish strong.

This summer did not go well for the Panthers. From the stands it looked to me as if the players were playing as individuals in the beginning. As the summer progressed, the players seemed to be coming together as a team. It is nice to see these boys start to build some chemistry.

As do I Super B! I have seen these kids play together when they were younger and they were had talent. I hated watching the games last year and seeing some of the boys play just JV and some of them just playing Varsity. They should have been playing together. I do hope that they build back the chemistry they once had. Good luck to the Panthers this coming season.

I know CC started practicing..it seems the majority of their team is still on the football field.

Welch back should help...if he can win back his fellow players, sitting out last year to cheer was a little puzzeling to me...as a KHSAA Basketball official, I hope this team can work better together, in the past theses kids would battle themselves instead of their oppsing teams...Good Luck CCHS, I hope this season is a SAFE one!

Well.. They are practicing but they are still missing about 1/2 of the team to Football.

 

I am sure that the Coach is looking forward to getting all of them at practice and evaluating them.
