Everybody starts practice today. Saturday's scrimmage should be interesting. Everyone will be rusty and it is against CAL. The first game is the 27th, so they will have some time to work on things after the scrimmage.

I wonder if CAL has a team since they are still playing Football?

 

Maybe they do not share as many players.

I have heard that about 3/4 of CAL's basketball team does play football. That is just hear say though, not sure if this is true or not.

I am speaking of Carroll. The team has some good athletes working at the guard position but along with comes the responsiblity of being a leader. Someone the team will be able not only trust with the ball but leading the team in a positive way when the games get tough. Not being negative here just answering the thread topic. Development at this position will be imperitive to this teams success this season. Not only at the starter but a consistent back up as well. Good Luck Panthers.

This is true. The PG has to be the leader on the basketball court. He has to lead the team and make sure every player is where he needs to be. Without a good PG, no team can run an offense or get the ball up the court.

I would have to agree. Way too much unnecessary dribbling and nobody interested in stepping up as a leader. It's like the boys are out there waiting for someone else to do it for them. They need to look within to find that leadership and bond together as a team. A true PG would assist in that process.

Carroll is scrimmaging at Ludlow today.

 

Scrimmaged CAL last Sat...Won the 1st qtr. I believe they lost the last 3 by small margins

This must be Carroll's second game. They host Williamstown on Tuesday night. As for a prediction, I have to wait and see after they play Williamstown.

It will be our first home game. I will blindly predict a Raider win. I honestly don't know how either team will play.

Williamstown will be improved from last year and I think the game will be closer than what most people will think. They have 3 to 4 players who did not play last year that are playing this year. It will be interesting to see how they comeback from last year.
