Gallatin Co. 78 Williamstown 63

Featured Replies

The Demons scored 9 straight to pull within 57-56 in the 4th, but Gallatin pulls away with a 19-4 run to go up 76-60 with over a minute to play. Cats placed 4 in double figures.

Maddox 19. Brown 18. T Jones 16. Henson 12.

This is more of what I expected. W-town put up a better fight than I would have thought, congratulations to both teams, and good luck. The Class 'A' should be fun to watch this year.

Sounds like Williamstown has come a long way from last year. Even though the score ended up not being close, they still came away from the game knowing that they can play with the big boys in the All A.

Wtown was red hot in the first half from the floor, even beyond the arc. However Gallatin stepped up the 'D' in the second half. I was caught off guard by how well Wtown played - wasn't expecting that from them.

Congrats to the Wildcats on a nice win! Also hats off to Wtown on playing a tough game... I think they will surprize a few teams here in the 8th with how they play. Good luck to both teams going forward.

I haven't seen Williamstown play yet this year, but seeing how they played with Gallatin, the must have done some major re-construction over the summer! Glad to see that they have a pretty good team this year. Will be interesting with them playing good, grant, and Walton. Simon is even down this year. I'm glad for Gallatin to pull away with a win, but glad to see Williamstown playing good ball.;)

Nice win for the Cats!

Simon played right with one of the 9th region favorites for about 3 quarters tonight without their two most experienced players, I don't know that I would look at that as a good sign for the other teams. If one of them is going to knock SK off it better be early in the season, or Walton better be shooting lights out.

Williamstown are a much improved team over last season. They shot the ball well last night.

2 transfers and a kid back who did not play last year. That is the difference. They play very hard and would not be a team that I would want to play come district time.

Who and where did the transfers come from? Anyone know?

Kramer (6'1 or so, but plays bigger) from Lloyd, Vice (6'4") did not play last year and Walter (6'0") did not play. All 3 are very athletic.
