CC beat Gallatin in the final game (31st district) in what sounds like a very eventful tournament in Gallatin County. Congratulations Panthers.:banana:

Congrats to the Freshman Panthers. If I remember correctly the CC Freshman also one the Freshman districts last year. Looks like the future at CC looks pretty good.

Great job by the Panthers. Sticks has it right in saying the future LOOKS good for Carroll. Lets hope that they hold this up, but at the same time varsity level is alot different than freshman but some of the players are getting valuble time this year. As for this tournament, it was WILD! Thats the most technical fouls I have seen in awhile. Seems to me like it carried over from the varsity game. I hope Gallatin can re-group and be the classy team they have been before this week. Once again Congrats to Carroll on teh tournament win.

Not just on players and coaches, but folks in the stands. Two games in a row now that Gallatin has had folks removed from the game. My question, was it the same referee??

Technical fouls on fans? That is really strange. In my experience, there are many fans much worse than Gallatin's.

Was it the same fans in both games?

Some may call it classless, I call it Coach Jones finally had been fed up with the officiating, especially after the Shelby Co. and Bishop Brossart fiascos.

As for Coach Carlton in the freshman game I call it sticking up for your players if you feel they are getting short end of the stick.

I know it doesn't look good when coaches are ejected, but they are not the first and certainly won't be the last.

I know Coach Jones was frustrated at both games. Some of these officials really take these types of games in their own hands. Believe me, we let listeners know.

I agree with you Buttels on the officials. There are bad calls in almost every game I go to. It is the coaches responsibility to discuss and show their displeasure. Every once in a while it gets out of hand.

 

I would be concerned with fans going that far to give a team technicals. The ref are a small community and I would be afraid that this would start a trend for GC ball that would in the end hurt the kids.
