  1. Kinda surprised that Boyle gave up that many to Anderson Co. No doubt Chuck will get things right on that side of the ball!
  2. Comparing rosters on the KHSAA from the two previous years, Green has a ton of starters back and Taylor graduated nearly everyone...Dudley win the coaching battle?
  3. Didn't see this one coming, TC graduated a ton last year and appeared to really be struggling. Thought this one would be really lopsided in favor of GC...WOW!
  4. I agree, no need to call you...or anyone on here a child. With that said, the age disparage is the same. I will illustrate my point. Let's say you have a incoming 9th grade lineman (current 8th grader) that has been working out for about 2 years (2 off seasons). You have a senior to be that has been working out roughly 3-4 years. The incoming freshman is 13 and the senior is 18. The incoming freshman rep tests 135 4 times and the senior does it 27 times. Now, lest go to that same senior who rep tested 135 22 times and can rep test 225 6-7 times as an equivalent measuring tool. The senior to be in college can hit that rep test 27-30 times. It is equivalent by comparison. The numbers I was using were mine from my incoming freshman year of college weighing in at 207 and rep testing 225 7 times. I graduated in 4 years at age 22 (so imagine a redshirt senior) and I rep tested 225 at the combine 31 times. The difference in middle school to HS and HS to college is a very comparable illustration. Gorman couldn't beat the worst college team on any level in the country.
  5. Poor misconception about spread teams...when Etown was spread and got to the state title did they not play "physical" teams? Just because you line up under center doesn't mean you're physical, just like if you line up in the shotgun you are soft or lack a physical game. Just hate that statement about spread teams especially when I can give 100's of examples of tough spread and soft conventional alignments. Physicality is philosophy, not a formation. Just saying.
  6. The worst college team in America would be the best high school team as badly as they wanted. There is NO comparison to 17-19 year olds vs. 22-23 year old men...wouldn't be competitive, not by a long shot.
  7. I will give Dudley credit only where it's due, he came back this season knowing the talent was WAY down from the year before...not many old coaches do that, they usually get in and out a program based on current and upcoming talent so their win/loss record makes them look like better coaches than they really are. With that said, he's gotta clean up his act...this ain't the mountains. Best of luck to TC as they push through another tough year.
  8. A win by Spencer over a winless East I'm not sure would qualify as impressive.
  9. Not sure why my edit didn't go through, but I noted CH's only loss was to highly ranked Boyle, it was noted in post 13.
  10. Class B misdemeanor...unless they view a helmet as a possible deadly weapon...then we are talking felony. If the courts wanna make a statement, they will hammer these kids. I don't feel one bit sorry for them. Apathy at their age is at an all time high and they need to be held accountable to the highest degree in my opinion. A helmet directly in his back could have been REALLY bad. I have no doubt Texas will take this very seriously. They are just a little different down there! LOL
  11. I think strength of opponent has to play in. Bullitt Central has beat really bad teams to go 3-0, Elizabethtown has beat 1 opponent (that has wins over 2 really bad football teams) who has won 1 game to go 3-0, Central Hardin is 2-1 with their only loss in a really close game to Boyle Co., Spencer County is 3-0 but their opponents have the same record as Elizabethtown I do believe....strength of schedule should be taken into account and that factor is why teams like CAL should stay in the top 10 even though they have lost 2 games. Just my humble opinion.
  12. I think strength of opponent has to play in. Bullitt Central has beat really bad teams to go 3-0, Elizabethtown has beat 1 opponent (that opponent has wins over 2 really bad football teams) who has won a game to go 3-0, Central Hardin has beat everyone you put in front of them, Spencer County has done the same but their opponents have the same record as Elizabethtown I do believe....strength of schedule should be taken into account and that factor is why teams like CAL should stay in the top 10 even though they have lost 2 games. Just my humble opinion.
  13. This one won't be very competitive. Eagles won't miss a beat!
  14. In the state of Texas this is a Class B misdemeanor, unless they view striking him with a helmet a deadly weapon, which does clearly occur by the 2nd player directly in the officials back while he's lying on the ground (which I can certainly see the court taking it that far if they wanna make a major statement about this type of behavior), in that case it will be a felony charge. If they haven't been arrested...it's coming. Texas takes football very seriously and I can see the court system imposing MAJOR penalties against these young men to prove a point that this type of behavior is unacceptable and carries a stiff penalty, not limited to a major fine for mom and dad, but some weekend jail time is certainly and likely possible.
  15. Wow...good for Ft Knox. 1st step in the right direction for them.
  16. Way too many horses to just get out of the Region. PT, Caldwell...if you survive then you get Lex Cath, Central, or Boyle....After that gauntlet and if you have any kids not injured you get Belfry in the finals who WALK in barely breaking a sweat out of the East...Etown is better, but are so far away from competing at that level that its not really debatable in my opinion. 3A is really top heavy!
  17. Agree completely in a football reference, probably not what the Lord intended to be quoted for...and MANY schools can cast stones that DO NOT break the KHSAA rules of fair play! You break the rules, you get turned in, you pay...PERIOD. Don't like it, find a state that is ok with cheating.
  18. Yep...high road...that's what I think of when I think of those 2 programs! LOL
  19. Not everyone at camp cheats and scrimmages...some people actually take their teams to camp to GET BETTER at what they do. I know...shocking! Lets not lump "everyone" in the "everyone" category. Crooked as a snake, always has been and always will be. There is a reason for his sudden departure from Pikeville College you know! If you didn't think his normal antics would follow him to TC, then you don't know the man very well. However, Cook doesn't care and will happily do what is necessary to get a winning product on the field...no matter the cost.
  20. See....the leadership of this website favors Trinity! I knew it! LOL
  21. LCA...by a bunch. They are a real contender this year.
  22. Adair by as much as they want.
