Franklin County should have some nice guys returning. McKaskell, should be bigger and stronger and fast as ever, Sophomore Landon Hurst should get more clock as well, Chris Roberts 260 lb running back will be a senior. I also hear they have a Lee kid that is promising? Hopefully this team can play some defense and move some bodies around to be better on the line next year. Any updates on Flyer land?

LOL!! I think Mercer is on the rise, but come on now, even with a win this year, when Boyle is supposedly down.....does not mean they will be the new second fiddle in the district! Maybe for one year. But we all know the expectations in Boyle are different than in Mercer.

Several years of great coaching, work ethic, and consistancy, followed up by a few rings in the recent past, I would not be counting my titans before they hatched.

What has Mercer have that makes them any closer to beating Boyle?? Boyle in my opinio has been down last two years and they did not get it done.

This is right on the money. Many times the Franklin County teams the last few years have pulled starters and people have scored on the JV and have kept the clock from running. FC defense while not noted for great stingy d, have had a few games in which they have performed well but do not get noticed due to starters being on the bench.

How did they do last year record wise, wins vs. who??

Well my mama always taught me what happens in the dark always comes to light. So I would say if you do it, be ready for the consequences. I think the sad part is that most people do not know the whole truth and nothing but the truth, due to the fact coaches, are normally classy people who don't spread their business, air their laundry, or blame others.

I think Coach Smith is that good, but I would also question catching lightning in the bottle a second time, there is a reason he is revered as one of the best, no one else has ever done what he done at Boyle as far as turning nothing into something. But credit also needs to be given to Boyle County kids, parents, and administration who let him coach his way.....Finding a place like that is rare these days. Anyone in the area of familar with Boyle knows there was no cutting corners or 2 hour practices those days. I would think Chuck would even admit that. Then add in having to beat Trinity and X, not sure you will see Boone County in the mix consistently in that aspect. However who would be a better hire????

If they were smart they would go out and find a top notch coach and use the AD position as part of the deal to get him there and set his job duties teaching wise.

This place is a death hole for coaching, stay away from Dunbar, not sure what they are looking for but chances are your not it!

Congrats to Cooper great effort by them, they took alot of things away from my Flyers, some of that we done to ourselves and some were the result of Cooper. Our defense was our defense, made some big plays but could not consistently stop Cooper. Good luck down the stretch, this next week is a bad match up for you guys, Harlan will match you up front.

Just to settle any dust between the two teams, as an FC fan we think Cooper is the better TEAM. They are better on special teams, and especially defense. We thought we could score more but it did not work out that way in the end. Conner had two Studs that were better athletes than anyone on the Cooper team, but 11 on 11 we felt Cooper was better.

Good year for FHS, tired of the same old teams winning these match-ups, makes the play-offs boring.

Let it go! Great game Conners kids played so hard as did FCHS, shame only one team gets to win, Flyer offense came through with some big conversions, am defense was able to make a few turnovers and score once! You got your money's worth if you came to this game!

Like I keep saying this game is a dead heat, athletes all over the place for both sides, and two studs on each team, Barn burner! But I will keep my car warmed up in case Conner blows my Flyers out first half.

We got a few other folks than just two! We got a few kids who can get a yard here am there.
