I'll post some thoughts in the next day or so. I'll try to find a schedule. I think it is complete.

Key returning players:

QB-Josiah Robbins-Sophomore

RB-Seph Burke-Senior

RB-Aiden Hoskins-Junior

Those three stick out the most to me. Who are others that may not be known just yet?

Can someone post the Boyle schedule?

Boyle will go 5-5. They'll lose to Warren Central, Anderson County, Danville, Lexington Catholic and Mercer County. Then they'll lose in the first round of the playoffs and then Larry French will retire. Be prepared for Mercer to become the second best team in their district from now on.

I wish I knew more about this upcoming team to offer a well rounded reply but I admittedly know very little about this team. I don't even think they will be as good as last season's team but again I know absolutely nothing about this team. It's been really really quiet in Boyle County. Really quiet.

I'm just glad and grateful the Highlands game is off of the schedule. There is no point in renewing that series at the present time. Boyle County has a ways to go before playing Highlands should even be considered.

Fewer players playing both ways most of the game is something that will help. 4th quarter was rough for Rebels last year in the LexCath games.

Ok PP92 before the Highlands faithful realized you mentioned them in this thread I will save them the trouble and tell you if only Boyle worked harder they coudl be like Highlands or better yet you should schedule them because you cannot get better unless you play teams as great as they are..... :)

Gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. Quality depth has been an issue in recent years. It may be a while before that changes.

Boyle Co will challenge for both the district and regional . They had a running clock against Mercer last year and could do the same this year. They certainly have a chance to win every game on their schedule. The only two to present a test will be Warren Central and Lex Cath.

I'll believe it when I see it. It wouldn't be the first time a team has had a running clock against them one year only to defeat that team the following year. Boyle loses way too much to even consider a running clock being put on Mercer and Mercer returns a large percentage of that team that remembers that running clock. Mercer will defeat Boyle. You'll see.

Definitely not a daunting schedule. Shameful IMO for a program the stature of Boyle.

That's a huge reach. Why should they schedule teams that are currently out of their league? That makes no sense at all. 'We are Boyle County so let's schedule a bunch of teams that we can't be competitive against.'

Just because Boyle County has scaled the Highlands mountain and planted a flag or two on top of it doesn't mean that Boyle County can be competitive against Highlands and teams of that stature every year. It is what it is. Programs lose themselves when they try to live up to the expectations of everyone else except themselves. I think the schedule is great for this year's team.
