Amen to Skilld-Kid on Coach Perry at Boyle Co. His son is also a welcome addition to the team being a lineman that could play both ways. Boyle has 2 other linemen that will be juniors this year that weigh 320 each and have really improved just watching in spring practice. Many other of their young kid have really grown and look like they can really play. This goes along with some really skilled kids that have already been mentioned. One other player that had not been mention is their tight end Levi McKinney who looks like he can be dominant both ways. Their backs are very very good and their defense looks the best in the last few years.

Any word on Josiah's health?

Josiah is doing great. Has been working out with some of some of the other players on their own. The rest probably helped during the healing process as much as anything.

I know about Boyle's district schedule. Who are the toughest non district teams they play

Warren Central and Danville look like the toughest non district foes IMO.

Any news from TitleTown? Been really quiet lately. Trying to figure out if that is good or bad.

Boyle is at camp now until Sunday. They look good in practice so far.This team could be very good because of an improved defense. I believe their offense will put up great numbers because they can run the ball with at least four backs that are talented with speed and toughness. I am including Josiah the QB as one of the four because he is a threat to score any time he touches the ball which will be on every play.They have a good passing game with receivers that can catch the ball. A great kicker with consistent kick offs to the end zone plus FG and EP accuracy. I have heard that this team has a great attitude and that is something that is always hard to measure. The proof though is in the pudding and all of this is just talk until the season actually begins.

Boyle will be ok this year. It may take them a few games to get going but I believe that they will be ok. Has for Mercer I have heard that some of the top players may not play. They are going to concentrate on another sport. How that is what I heard about a month ago. So they may have came out, just don't know. Mercer will be better this year but just don't see them beating Boyle this year.

We are just 3 weeks away from some football action.

The Rebs come to Tates Creek for a scrimmage on the 15th. Will try to contribute what I see for Boyle County then.

Was hoping to catch me some Boyle Co football practice while in town. Doesn't look like its going to work out for me. I'm in town for an Auction at our building over at the Danville Industrial Liquidation facility on the Bypass tomorrow. Maybe another time!

Boyle is back from camp injury free which always is a good thing.It looks like the extra time in the weight room this winter and spring has really paid off for these kids, especially the younger ones.They scrimmage Tates Creek next week. This should help both teams. Boyle will get to see more speed in this test that can only help to sharpen them on both sides of the ball.

Boyle has been down the last two years. They'll fall even further this year. In October look for the thread entitled What Happened to Boyle County?
