Brady Hoke "Notre Dame is Chickening Out"
oldonetechnique replied to TTS_JF's topic in College Football
I am a Buckeye fan, but I think alot of the big ten needs to take their lead and get some young coaches in there to stir up some stuff, Michigan had the guy to do it, Rodriguez but the old talking heads wouldnt make it work or support him, now they got someone who thinks he so established he just stands on the sideline with no head set and claps............ Only a few can do that.... Meyer came to OSU and changed the norm, made waves. I hope Michigan can get on the upswing, I want the big ten to improve accross the board. -

Both of these programs are clows any more. ND is always over rated, and I get sick of hearing about them. Last year they had a nice team, but still overrated. As for Michigan, Hoke needs to stick to standing on the sidelines with no headset. Michigan is not on the way up folks. -

Conner will be the team to beat. Stud qb with experience makes a supporting cast look might good. -
Does this mean I am on the Chip Kelly bandwagon?

My question....do any teams that blare music at practice got any championship rings?????????????? Again how can you get any teaching done if we are in a music video the whole time. I think it has a place but my guess is there is a thin line between too much and just enough. -
Derrick Rose Situation...

He seems soft to me if not physical than mentally. As an athlete you push to play. If he was in college and didnt have a that check in hand I bet he would mentally feel better. I agree its a hurdle the Getting back into the mindset with an injury but it is one you attack! To me he either has not pushed it in rehab, out of shape, or just soft. But who knows. I see having his back but deep inside that has to be because you just dont believe someone could be this much of WUSS!!! -

Kentucky 2-Year-Old Accidentally Killed by Brother
oldonetechnique replied to theguru's topic in Controversial Issues
Both of my sons have owned guns since they were 5. But the gun was locked up or kept out of sight or reach of them. Rule in my house, my boys can touch, shoot, or look at any gun I own at any time with ME!!!! I am also brutal about safety. Both of my sons have got a whippin while hunting over a misplaced muzzle or careless attitude. Its not for everyone but age to me is a number if supervised correctly and safely by an adult. -
That may be true they probably don't like it. But if you have ever coached a game with an awful crew that is bad year in and year out, you would know why its a good change. Also this loyalty and freindship they form can lead to a whole bunch of back covering, and dishonesty in games. Now each man has to be sure he worries about his own calls and integrity, not covering his buddies back, or defending him.

I can not blame him for wanting to play QB as of now, he has been in the league how many years now 2 or 3? he started most of one year and WON! Then he went to the jets..who are a mess, and now all the sudden he is garbage to everyone?? Come on man, while he is not a polished typical qb, he does have some starts under his belt which would be ten times more than most rostered qbs in the league. If he got another shot at qb and could not do it then he should try out a new spot.

Franklin County should have some nice guys returning. McKaskell, should be bigger and stronger and fast as ever, Sophomore Landon Hurst should get more clock as well, Chris Roberts 260 lb running back will be a senior. I also hear they have a Lee kid that is promising? Hopefully this team can play some defense and move some bodies around to be better on the line next year. Any updates on Flyer land?

Love them both, but DAC has about 1/4 the albums Hank Jr. has, problem with both is most people do not even know half the songs they have ought there, or have wrote. For me I will tank Hank Jr.

LOL!! I think Mercer is on the rise, but come on now, even with a win this year, when Boyle is supposedly down.....does not mean they will be the new second fiddle in the district! Maybe for one year. But we all know the expectations in Boyle are different than in Mercer.
-
Several years of great coaching, work ethic, and consistancy, followed up by a few rings in the recent past, I would not be counting my titans before they hatched.
-
What has Mercer have that makes them any closer to beating Boyle?? Boyle in my opinio has been down last two years and they did not get it done.

Which QB fits the offense best for Kentucky
oldonetechnique replied to newarkcatholicfan's topic in College Football
Did you not see the run buys on the QB's standing in the pocket? Both smith and a towles had d-ends, and/or OLB, come off the edge full head of steam and just tag off. would have been huge blindside hits. Not qeustioning there toughness just saying they would have been blaseted. -
This is right on the money. Many times the Franklin County teams the last few years have pulled starters and people have scored on the JV and have kept the clock from running. FC defense while not noted for great stingy d, have had a few games in which they have performed well but do not get noticed due to starters being on the bench.
