Added to my post, I am with you dont care if my kids are gay or not but if I felt at age 14 they weren't really sure, I would excercise any right to protect them from bad deciscions and manipulation of others...

Ok lets say your beloved son....who has been hedero sexual all his life..... attracted to girls as far as you know, enters the 9th grade and meets a very charismatic, manipulative, gay 18 year old...lets say this man has a reputation for turning, younger boys into his new Bo..... you as an adult can see the way this kid works...how he turns and manipulates your son, who now is wearing make up, and tighter pants, and has been sexting this 18 year old....... You have talked with your son but he is blinded by his new found love and can not see what your telling him.... You talked and warned the older boy, and he likes to rub in your face what he and your son have no matter what you say.... Do you think that is fine now??? Even though deep down in your heart and your wifes heart, that you know your son is unsure about his sexuality and needs more time to make a responsible deciscion.... Or do you pursue your rights within the law?? Do you risk fighting or threatening the boy, and go to jail yourself?? Same question asked if you had a daughter and the older boy is 18 already has two other girls pregnant, does drugs, and even sells them, drives really fast and wreckless, and takes your daughter to older parties where there is open sex, drugs, and other illegal activity. He has snuck your daughter out of the house and talked her into skipping school her grades are falling... she was an honor roll student... she is 14 him 18, so you as a parent should not be able to have a a say or a right????

Could be that you are prejiduce towards this girls parents due to their beliefs that differ from yours.

I could probably live with that change as well, but I do think you have to be careful since kids can legally be in highschool until age 21. So I do think a numerical age has to be put on the top end. a 21 year old is too old for a 14 year old freshman.

There are a lot of factors that can go on in a 14 year old mind......Have you ever taught or worked with 14 year olds??? They are very impressionable and easily swayed one way or another...just go to a local school and see how the social groups and roles of each kid can be manipulated by others.... I just think something needs to be in place to protect kids at that age...again I asked what are the common sense changes to the law??? I am open to hear them.

I see your point, and I see the abuse of power that can happen and probably does happen. But I think that a judge or a jury should be trusted to keep those things from getting out of control. Kids need to understand when you make certain choices you sometimes lose rights....such as these instances. You put yourself at the mercy of others. I am not sure what the law reads word for word. But I see nothing wrong with a parent being able to press charges on an adult 18 for messing around with his 14 year old...which could be a middle school student... what is the execptal line??? If that is not it....should it be set at a school grade or what, what would be the common sense change to the law.

Like I said I can see both sides. But again, I just do not see the benefit in changing any lawy that deters, a 14 year old from having sex....I have two boys, I see them noticing young girls and such, but that is a risk, and I would advise them to stay away.

14 could be a middle schooler too guys.... I like the law, gives parents the power which to me is a good thing...

Hey I agree with you, look at times then....they were also not having sex til they were married, and a man could get a job to support his family while they stayed home to work... I guess you would be cool with your daughter hooking up and having sex at age 14 huh??? Do not really see your point. Marriage and sex two different things as well.

There is not one good thing that comes from having sex, at age 14....other than maybe an orgasm...It is for sure harmful 90% of the time in some way.

I see both sides, but to be honest its my kid that is 14 and If I ask you to stay away, for whatever reason....you need to take my advice and do so....... The girl chose not to, and there you have it......14 year olds are not old enough to make life long deciscions yet..... they can't vote, drive, or by beer, its not okay for you to approve of them banging an 18 year old.... Gay or not gay... I know it happens...but doesn't make it right.

Makes sense to me and alot of other folks....I just do not think it will transfer to the NFL and if he changes it...then that proves my point. As for the Patriots they have Tom Brady, I think we all would agree that there is not very many of him around. Big test for Chip will be getting the kind of defense that can transfer this system into wins...

I keep coming back to the fact that...he never got it all the way done in the NCAA, he ran into a big strong physical team and got beat....Auburn, Stanford, etc.... I think the presence of the Defensive lineman you have in the pro's and the ability to run so many types of defense and coverages...will make him have to change some if not cause him to be back in College in about 5 years.

I do not even agree with it being a law let alone the time and money it waste to pull me over just for that....

Do you think you dont get hurt with a seat belt on???? Insurance should be glad........ I might just die, and they wont be out anything...I just do not think its anyone but my business how I sit in my car. I have been insured my whole life, I have paid or my parents and me combined almost 50,000 dollars cash out of my pocket into premiums, let alone our employers contributions, that have been paid out over the years. So They can still make some money off of me I am sure.

No one should be able to make you wear a seat belt, period, if you are a bill paying adult, with a job and insurance. I appreciate people wanting to protect me, but it is my deciscion, and all the bad things in this world a seat belt should be the last thing someone cares about.

Knife is my favorite gift as well.... My dad always said a knife and a quarter are the best gifts a man could have. Knife for obvious reasons, and the quarter to symbolize your a call away if they need you. Or the knife breaks! LOL

If it goes back to none and done, or changes from one and done....Cal will lose some of his hold on recruiting....I think he has figured this type of recruiting out more than anyone.
