It would have been a good game if Harlan hadn't lost their leading scorer. But the Tigers should be able to win easily IF they continue to play well!

Elliott has played a lot of games lately, but this just shows how young and dangerous Elliott can be. Morgan or whichever other 16th team can't necessarily expect a close game from them, but you certainly can't overlook them either. Elliott is capable of losing to almost any team and also of beating them. This inconsistency is what makes them so dangerous. You just have to approach them as if they were the region favorites and play hard for the whole game! Congrats to the Vikings! They can spring up for a win from time to time too this year!

I thought that they did but didn't know for sure! Onetoya is right though in one respect - it is rare!

First, I would like to congratuate Fairview on a historic victory, much like Rose Hill a few years ago. The Tomcat dominance is apparently gone! Second, I extend my sympathies to AT41 on his "new look" (unless he chickens out!). Third, I express my support to the Tomcats tomorrow against LexCath (althougth my support or anything Ashland does tomorrow will be like throwing rocks against a brick wall). Like I have said all along, IT IS GOING TO BE A LONG SEASON FOR THE TOMCATS!!

Congrats to Boyd on the win tonight! As for Ashland and Russell, they were overrated but they will be contenders come March. However, Boyd has one flaw - they can't seem to put teams away when they do get big leads. It has happened several times this season. Nothing special about Russell in that respect. They blew a 17 point lead at Johnson Central just the game before. And they have done likewise in other earlier games this year! Boyd is going to have to put teams away and build on those leads if they want to be a better team! Observe that: (1) Boyd has been having trouble of late in the W/L department; (2) that Owens seems to be fouling out a lot lately (were there any Sheriff's that missed any calls at Russell?); and (3) that Boyd hasn't been building momentum toward the end of games, but losing momemtum toward the end. If Pratt can solve these problems, then he will have himself a very good ball club that can play within and without the 16th. It is encouraging to see that Boyd managed to pull out the win without Owens!!!

Congrats to the Tigers!! Glad to see the winning continue! But that (turnovers and so forth) is what I'm talking about! If Paintsville doesn't learn how to finish teams off, they are going to come up short eventually against the better teams. Even more so when the Tigers have an off night!

Surprised! But on a given night, you never know when two good teams meet!

I don't know how good the Sheriffs will be at this one, but I'll give the edge to Boyd County in a close one! BUT, if Owens does not play, Russell will blow Boyd out of the gym! AND if Boyd has one of their lackluster performances as has happened this year, Russell will win by a close margin! Without the BUT and the AND, I think Boyd will edge this one out in a close one, primarily because I don't think Russell can stop Owens.

From my observations, Morgan tends to skid a little this time of year for some reason! Add to this the fact that teams like Belfry, Beechwood and Prestonsburg can flat out play on a given night and you get a close game! Still, a win is a win! But Morgan needs to start improving soon as the district will be heating up in the near future! We want those close ones, if there has to be any, to be wins not losses!

Should be a good game! Paintsville is a little better if they show up! If the same Tigers show up that played in the Hoops Classic, then they should have no problem winning. Hope they have learned how to build on a lead though!

DD, not playing your best has nothing to do with your record?? :confused: Morgan has not played very well their last few games. They have struggled, even though they haven't necessarily lost all of the games!! Do you understand what I'm saying now?

Not surprised! Apollo has some good players, but I watched them in the Tiger Hoops Classic Championship game against Paintsville and they played terrible. If not for Paintsville playing about as bad, they would have probably beat them by 20 also. OC has more talent, but Apollo should be playing better than they are right now!

With Devon out; with Morgan not playing their best right now; with Belfry being better than most think; this is an outcome that is not surprising. Disappointing but not surprising. Good luck Cougars the rest of the season!!

I'll take BC by 10! JC is a hard place to play at and if the "good Eagles" show up it will be a good game. However, if the "bad Eagles" show up then BC will kill them!

Congrats to the Tigers!! Didn't think they could win the tourney, but they proved me wrong! The players really hung in there and that proved to me that they have confidence and can make a come back! However, as I have said before, they need to learn how to build on their leads when they get them!! But 5 games in 4 days against some very good teams - you have to give them credit!!

Maybe so, but there are always bad calls! Apollo got a few their way too, and Paintsville really got some bad calls against them in the Seneca game! You just have to take what you get and work around what you don't. That is the nature of the game!

I'm hopeful that Ashland will win this one, but I would hate to see AT41 not get his tattoo!

Should be a great game! I hope that the Tigers aren't too worn out though! Having played a late game last night without Kevin, then an early game this morning, without Meade, and then to have to play again tonight against a very good team, will certainly test the Tiger stamina! On the positive side, the Tigers have knocked off two very talented teams that many didn't think that they would be able to beat! It is also good to see the Tigers playing much better team ball and in better sync. But they have got to learn to build on those big leads they get and not let the other teams back into the game! But they are improving nicely since the start of the season!

IMO the arena. Nothing boring about Louisville the city!

This was a great game to watch! The Tigers were clicking on all cylinders tonight, only having a short lapse in the game. They played great team ball with no unselfishness by any of their players. With Kevin out, they all stepped up against a very good Schroder team that had height advantage. It is going to take this type of effort from the Tigers, with some improvement during the season in order to win the region, but I can now see that it is possible!
