The way that Ashland is playing right now, they have a good chance of winning this one! But they can expect a good game from Fairview! AT41 can at least feel some comfort now that the Tomcats are starting to reach their potential.

First, you have to give credit to the NKY teams! Second, it is ashamed that two of the 16th Region favorites played terrible in their NKY tourney. But you can't change the past. I guess the Regional Tourney and Rupp are the true test of greatness anyway!

Surprised that Seneca (which hasn't made much noise this year) beat Clear Lake (which seemed to be winning big against the other teams)?? Good job Seneca!!

:ylsuper: Not to mention that it is better located for the majority of Kentuckians!! If the KHSAA wants to see attendance fall, let them move it to Freedom Hall again! I think that has been tried and it failed. Hope they keep it just like it is!!

GO TOMCATS!!!! All I can say is that it is about time! Was this the Tomcat break out game??? I guess time will tell, but I sure hope that it was!!

Maybe Pratt will get it figured out, because Boyd is a very good team! It just seems like they don't do well on the road for some reason!

I'll still congratulate Morgan for their 10-1 season record!! They finished 2-1 in the Campbell tourney and could have beaten Beechwood but just didn't get it done!!

Can't argue with you BIGZIG! I still think that on a better night, Morgan and Boyd could have done much better than they did and perhaps could have met in the final of this tourney! BUT when teams go up to NKY they frequently underestimate the quality of the teams up there! That alone can be the downfall of a team. Boyd has done especially bad against NKY teams this season!

Ripley was very good last year. They must have lost a lot if they are terrible this year!!

Coach Herald is not a bad coach, but that doesn't mean he is the greatest either! Anyone who knows anything about basketball, has to know that without players with some talent, you won't win many. But even with talent, you won't get the best out of the players unless you are a good coach. So Beechwood is undefeated this season! Give the credit where it is due - TO THE PLAYERS AND THE COACH!! Why try to divide the praise by posing such a question?? Beechwood 5-0 and people still complain?? :confused:

Good job by Ashland and I'm glad to see them improving! But they are going to have to learn to win those games where the other team gives them an opportunity! They better not overlook West Carter either!

Congrats to Morgan! Much better than the night before!!!! I believe that Morgan should have beaten Beechwood, but those NKY teams are not like playing the EKY teams!

Hats off to South Floyd for getting it done this time. They should have won last night against Oak Ridge. The Raiders are playing some very good basketball right now!

Another up and down game for Paintsville - with moments of brilliance and moments of sloppiness! I can say that the Tigers have come a long way from the beginning of the season, BUT they have got to learn to protect the lead!! That is going to be their downfall against the better teams!

Luckily for Paintsville, JD got hot in the 2nd half! JD nor Landon couldn't put one in the tub in the first half. Blake Bundy kept them in the game during the first half, then JD and Landon, and just about everyone else was on fire in the second half! HH just quit at the end! But I agree that they have some work to do if they want to win the Region! I don't know whether the fact that they have as many coaches on the bench as players has anything to do with it or not?? :sssh:

:thumb: You just hate to see the choke occur when you go to NKY to play! Most of the schools up there already think they are better than the EKY teams anyway! I guess with the games played by Ashland, Boyd (2), and Morgan, the 16th can't really argue the point!

Oak Ridge has had two fairly close games! But their perfect Hoops Tourney record is still intact!

Clear Lake must be loaded! Have they even had a close game yet?

Didn't see but the very end of this game! Shocking that SF played Oak Ridge so close unless Oak Ridge is down this year! Of course we know SF is competitive, but Oak Ridge is usually much better than everyone else and they are also 6-0 in the Hoops Classic! Good game SF!

Great game for the Tigers!! Paintsville was extremely sloppy in the second quarter, losing I believe a 9 or 11 point lead at one point to be down 1 at halftime. But the Tigers played very good ball in the 1st, 3rd and 4th quarters! Bundy finally shot the ball very well in a game, and this makes him a very dangerous player when he can do that. Hilton Head just seemed flat! Best win for Paintsville all year! Very good officiating by the refs for both teams and good sportsmanship!
