Paintsville 91 Shroder Paideia, OH 86 OT

Featured Replies

Paintsville is tough. They had a 10-12 point lead late in the fourth and then the team from Ohio came back and the kid who had about 40 for them threw in a 3 pointer while falling out of bounds to tie the game up. Slone missed to win the game to go to OT. Paintsville pulled it out in the extra session with some good ballhandling and free throw shooting. The kid who was the QB really makes a difference in the Tigers. They can score from all positions and they look really hard to guard when they can spead you out so much.

The Tigers should have won this game in regulation. The refs missed a call in the fourth when they called a blocking foul on Paintsville under OH's goal and called the basket good. When in fact the ball DID NOT go in. BUT, 2 thumbs up to the Tigers for not letting it get them down and to keep playing hard and pull out the win. GREAT job Tigers and Good Luck in the morning.

It was a great game to watch as a fan. Landon Slone had 36 points and #11 from Shroder had 33. Paintsville as a team shot 59% from the field. Daniel Pugh had 19 points. #42 from Shroder had 14 rebounds in the game. I'm glad the Tigers pulled out a win in this one. Can't wait for tomorrow's game.

Paintsville plays Louisville Seneca tomorrow morning at 9:00. Then Oak Ridge, TN plays Owensboro Apollo at 10:30. The championship game will be played at 8:00 after the consolation game at 6:00.

Someone from Paintsville needs to call the KHSAA and give them the scores from all the games during the trip to Georgia. I know they didn't drive that far for just one game. Come on Tigers, what's the big secret about the other games on that trip???? You guys called in the game you won, but what about the other games??

On the positive side, sounds like they are finally playing well.

:thumb: Must agree with you on that one!!!! We all know that they lost the other two, but they need to post the results!!

This was a great game to watch! The Tigers were clicking on all cylinders tonight, only having a short lapse in the game. They played great team ball with no unselfishness by any of their players. With Kevin out, they all stepped up against a very good Schroder team that had height advantage. It is going to take this type of effort from the Tigers, with some improvement during the season in order to win the region, but I can now see that it is possible!

If I could remember the scores, I'd call them in. No offense but I've heard this from more than you. People act like BMR is trying to hide something, or get away with two loses. Paintsville knows they lost, BMR knows they lost, heck the KHSAA probably knows they lost.

I know BMR would never try to hide anything, that is not how he is. I just like to look at the KHSAA website to see how everyone is doing. It is a pet peeve of mine when coaches don't take a little extra time to help everyone stay organized. And usually is is an assistant coaches duty to do these things. And heck, Paintsvillle has enough people sitting over there to take care of a lot of extra things!!! LOL
