Christian Co. 50 Ashland 48

Featured Replies

Final. I figured the game would be a lot more high scoring than this. Ashland plays West Carter for 3rd place tomorrow night, while Christian Co. plays Brossart for the championship.

This was a great game! Ashland had PLENTY of opportunities to win it. Matt Thomas played great, he finished with 19. Drew McDavid had 15 and 9. CC had a 10-0 spurt in the 2nd quarter caused by their full court press and halfcourt D. CC turned the ball over like 3 times in the last minute, but Ashland just couldnt convert. They had atleast 4 opportunities. Good effort by both teams.

Both teams shot well, Ashland was at 51% and CC 53%.

How many threes did Christian Cty. have? I know they had about 4-5 in the first quarter!!

They came out on fire against Ashland's zone. Their first 5 baskets were three's.

The shooting percentages don't match the scoring tally. Must have been some deliberate offense in this one.

Good percentages--Good shot selection or weak defense??

I thought both teams played pretty good D, both teams just hit their shots.

Good job by Ashland and I'm glad to see them improving! But they are going to have to learn to win those games where the other team gives them an opportunity! They better not overlook West Carter either!
