Congrats! To the Tigers on a Great game and Tourney! Also to the Tourney Directors, GREAT Tourney! Saw some awsome basketball this week and some great teams! Can't wait till next year! Heard nothing but good things from other team fans and coaches! Way to go Tigers!! And yes maybe they will get a little respect now!

This was a great game to watch. Back and forth the whole game. Paintsville just got the breaks when they needed them and took advantage of them. Here is some stats for the game.

 

Landon Slone 21 points, 12-13 freethrows. MVP, All-Tournament team

Daniel Pugh 15 points. Best Defensive player award, All-Tournament team

J.D. VanHoose 11 points, All-Tournament team

All around great tournament and all teams were class acts and great teams. Can't wait until next years tournament! Should be a good one.

 

Also the Paintsville Middle School Hoopfest is tomorrow at Paintsville High School with games starting at 9:00 AM. Admission is $5 for an all-day pass.

Paintsville is playing really well they maybe calling for a state ranking if they keep winning over some of the states better teams(Apollo, Barren Co.) and keep thir streak alive. They are 9-0 since their 1st game of the season, a 2 point loss at the hands of Lawrence Co.

No, they have lost three games (Lawrence Co., Milton, FL, and Ridgeview, SC). The last two in the Glynn Academy Tournament in Brunswick, GA. They are currently 9-3!!

I was at the game and Paintsville looked very much improved but IMO the refs helped them out alot. The basketball by slone at the end of the 3rd i think it was should not have counted. There was 1.3 seconds on the clock and Williams slung a full court pass and then was tipped by 2 apollo players and it fell into slone's hand and he had enough time to do a spin move and hit the basket. The weird thing was the buzzer didnt sound till the shot hit the back board. Late in the fourth I seen a couple of bad calls go Paintsville's way. Not taking anything away from Paintsville though they played a great game against a pretty decent Apollo team.

Maybe so, but there are always bad calls! Apollo got a few their way too, and Paintsville really got some bad calls against them in the Seneca game! You just have to take what you get and work around what you don't. That is the nature of the game!
