15th Slammer

Nice game for the Hornets. Looks like it didn't hurt the basketball players that play softball.

I think the 15th will be very evenly matched. Any team can really make a lot of noise in the 15th this year. But I will list th top 5 teams I think will have the most returning. 1.Paintsville 2.Shelby Valley 3.Johnson Central 4.Belfry 5.Magoffin County But like I said I think the region is wide open...this is just what i think.

The Hornets really didnt play well. Gave E-Town a lot of easy shots and they capitilized on most of em. Magoffin could have easily won this game but shooting 6%(1-17) from the three point line didn't help their chances. However, they did force 30 turnovers. Great effort and great season for the Hornets. But they still have next year. G/l E-Town the rest of the tourney.

I believe that Magoffin can win this game. Only way Magoffin can only loose if they play bad. If they play like they did last night they will run away with this one. Magoffin - 75 PC - 62

Magoffin really started running away with this in the third and they had a 20+ point lead but belfry came out and played really hard and got it within 6 points. Magoffin just pulled it on in the end.

I am going to go with Magoffin in this one. Mainly because the Hornets did win at home where they didn't play that well and plus they were without a starter Michaela Howard. Should be a good game. Hornets by 7.

Wow all teams that were district runner ups wins all the first round games. Didnt see that one coming. I think that Belfry will win the region now that Pville is out of it.

WoW. Total shocker in this one. Figured it would be a barnburner.

Devin Rice #32 for the Hornets is going to have a big year next year. He has some of the best post moves I have seen in a long time. You need to keep a lookout on him next year. Loosing Helton is going to hurt the Hornets tremendously. He was a excellent ball player and so was the other Senior Hornets in Brandon Sheperd and Cameron Jayne. G/L in the future guys. THe Hornets had a good season and hate to see it come to a end like this.

Magoffin gave Paintsville all they wanted, and shoulda came out on top. IMO I think the better team lost. Magoffin is overall better than Paintsville but Magoffin has had a problem all year closing out games which was the problem tonight. You have to give props to Paintsville because they did not fold under the pressure and hung around all night and came out on top on one of the best games ive seen in a LONG time. Im not taking anything away from Paintsville, they are a great team, I just think Magoffin is better and they gave it away, and never could close it out.

With the Lady Hornets playing the game before this one I look for a Huge crowd to come out and support the Hornets and pack the stands full of Hornet fans. The hard fought game last night, I believe that will effect the Hornets but I believe that the Hornets post presence will be enough to take this game. Of course it will be close. Great win for the Hornets. The Hornets are coming around at the right time and Paintsville should not be overlooking them.

Magoffin really gave this game away. Pburg got whatever shot they wanted all night. Magoffin made a good comeback at the end with some three's by eric arnett but wasn't enough to come back in this one.

That is amazing for the year. Even though he is a Center and most of his shots are in the paint its still amazing to shoot 68%. Good Job Blake.
