Morgan Co. 67 Prestonsburg 61 (2OT)

Just saw this score on the KHSAA scoreboard. PBurg must have played a very good game. I am a little surprised that it took 2 OT's for Morgan to put them away though. Congrats Morgan.

I'm also surprised Morgan County didn't win big in this game.

The game was played at Pike County Central. P-burg did take the to 2 OTs, but it was the worst game they have played all year.

From my observations, Morgan tends to skid a little this time of year for some reason! Add to this the fact that teams like Belfry, Beechwood and Prestonsburg can flat out play on a given night and you get a close game!

Still, a win is a win! But Morgan needs to start improving soon as the district will be heating up in the near future! We want those close ones, if there has to be any, to be wins not losses!

You are right..Morgan does seem to have a slump this time of year. I am sure the Cougars will get back on track soon.
