Congrats to the Eagles on another good win!

This was a great high energy game.... This had to be one of the biggest crowds i have ever seen at a game that wasnt the District or Regional Championship In tghe 57 distict.. And there is some big crowds for the JC paintsville games.... It was full to the top on both sides of the gym...

 

It got a little wild when Helton Hit rice in the Head they both received Technicals then Rice got another for taking his Jersey off both got Ejected as Helton was leaving the floor he gave two big high finger toward Rice ... So uncalled for... He is a good player he has to keep his head and stay in the game if Magoffin is going to have a chance to win.. Magoffin is good and will not be an easy out come district time....

 

Tell me if im right Since Rice got Eject will he have to set out 2 games? I hope i am wrong...

It seems as if this is happening a lot lately at a lot of games. May be the KHSAA needs to take a look at what is going on and start hitting these kids with some stiff suspensions. There is a lot of young kids at these games and they whatch every move these older kids make. These older kids don't even relize this. I bet you can take a group of grade school kids and have them pick out some of these kids and they can tell you there names, what they play, what positions and what grade they're in. And then have the older kid tell you what that kids name is and he wouldn't even be able to tell you. These older kids are like heros to these kids. Just my opinion.

I thought that with the way this game went down there would be alot of talking about it. Didnt see the Helton kid hit Rice in the head but seen the ref come running in to seperate him and Rice. I think that when the ref give the ejection motion Rice thought it was him being ejected theirfore taking off his jersey. Still both need to learn how to keep their cool although i dont know if I could keep my cool after someone hit me in the back of the head. What about the energy of Starns? He was sweating so much i thought some threw a cup of water on him when Helton and Rice got tangled up. I love the energy and emotion Starns brings to this team and its fans. Congruates Johnson Central on the win and good luck to Magoffin Co.

Yes both Helton was ejected for throwing a punch Rice was ejected because he had a technical with the insident with Helton then he got made and took his jersey off they gave him another so he was ejected to...

I was impressed with Starns he was jumping around telling the Fans to get up it was very impressive to see him that into the game i think his energy carries over to the team........

I dont think that he took his jersey off. I think that he pulled it out of his shorts and raised the tail of it over his head. But I dont believe he actually took it off. Try putting yourself in Kyle's place, I dont know if anyone else could have stood to be sucker punched for no reason and not get upset. Kyle was plain and simply outplaying Helton at the time.

I probably would have done the same thing... Kyle took the Jersey almost completely off he had it around his arms.....

I think both were assessed flagrant technical fouls (fighting). Rice then took his jersey off and was assessed another technical.

I think if you get ejected there is an automatic one game suspension from the KHSAA. I dont know if there will be any team imposed penalties or not. That is possible with the way other technical situations have been handled internally so far this year, but I honestly dont know. Central has two more games scheduled before the game with Paintsville.

Rice and Helton should act like seniors not like grade schoolers. JCs coach acted bush league. I guess now we know why he left Pitino and went to high school. JCs fans showed class when they booed Magoffins dance team at the half. Have fun its only a game. Show some sportsmanship. :jump:

Seems like teams have a problem with Central's aggressive full court style of play. Two games in a row where situations have occured. First, Boyd County players lose their cool at the end of the game and get technicals for running their mouth and for coming off the bench. Now a player from Magoffin County cheap shots Rice during the game. I bet if local law officials would take an offender that strikes another player to jail during the game, it would change some attitudes in a heartbeat.

Let's not read to much into the "incident", unless you are directly involved, you probably don't know the whole situation. I feel sure that these two battled all night and that this didn't blow up over just one instance.
