Rice and Helton should act like seniors not like grade schoolers. JCs coach acted bush league. I guess now we know why he left Pitino and went to high school. JCs fans showed class when they booed Magoffins dance team at the half. Have fun its only a game. Show some sportsmanship. :jump:

 

Oh yes and it was total class when Central was chanting "Central" and Magoffin would say directly behind it "sucks". Its high school, kids will be kids, so dont look to much into it, you didnt see any fans booing the dance squad did you cause i didnt hear just ppl talking about how good they were in time. As far as Coach Starns goes, he was trying to get his team fired up through the situation and their is nothing wrong with that. :thumb:

Sounds like a hard fought game. I felt Johnson Central didn't show much class when Lee beat them at home for the championship of their tournment. Lee Co gave them a standing ovation, as did the Lee Co fans, when they accepted their 2nd place trophy, but nothing but cold stares as Lee took their champoins trophy. I thought that to be a little classless. But, hey, who likes losing. And, well, to be quite honest, our fans here in Estill can get rowdy sometimes too.

This was a great game but I guess emotions got a little too high for a couple players. Congrats to both teams anyway. Central is tough and Magoffin has already proved they can play ball with the 15th region powerhouses.

Well if you were there you would of heard the same thing after the bleacher creatures were yelling hornets. And also Centrals student sections started chanting sit down faggots. and they did boo our high school dance team and some of them booed our middle school.

Well Helton wouldn't have hit Rice if Rice hadn't elbowed him as hard as he could with in the face. over and over and over again the whole night.

Well i was there just must have missed that part of the game, but like i said kids will be kids, its high school, im sure you and some of your buddies were the same way at ball games.

I have watched the JC coach for years and I can tell you that nothing about the coach is bush league. I don't know what game you were watching, because you sure don't know the difference between bush league and class.

I have been watching and coaching for 50 yrs and it was classless. Coming onto the court 20 ft waving arms to get the fans up after Rice and Helton are ejected added fuel to an ugly situation that could got out of hand. :fight:

Ballcrazy, you confirmed in your statement "got fans up" as did JC Alum 76 said as well. As a coach as you said you have been you should know the momemtum could have gone the other way towards Magoffin. Starns knew this! Starns was doing exactly what you said getting his fans into the game and keeping them into the game. Starns is first class. I hope a moderator is watching this thread because it was classless on your part to mention anything about Starns and Pitino. Hope you know the rules of BGP, Ballcrazy! Enough said period!

I don't agree with your comments! Starns tries to keep the fans into the game. He has done this at several games not just last night. I will give you a situation with no class. I got reserved seats in which they asked me JC side or Magoffin side and I replied JC. However I sit right between Magoffin fans which were doing nothing but trying to start trouble. They even put the student section on JC's side. Why? In my opinion it is just trying to get trouble started. This is what I refer to as no class. :thumb: I was just going to enjoy the game and had to deal with that.

This game was out of hand from the first quarter.

First of all in the Boyd Co game, when the players came off the bench was when a JC player said a racial slur at the Boyd Co player. I realize the situation needed to be dealt with in a better way, but the kid just really took offense to it. Besides, the way the officials were calling the game, really let up to alot of hightened tensions between both teams near the end of the game. Would be curious to hear if it was the same crew calling both games.

This is accually a JC & MC post. But, I don't even have a dog on the JC bench. I have know all the players and the coaches, except coach Starnes, since they were all knee high to a grass hopper. And! I can not see any of them stooping to the level of say anything racial! The coaching staff at JC would never go for it and the kid would be handled interanly. ie... suspended! PLease, we ALL (that is anyone in KY) get stereo typed enough in this area. Great win for the Eagles and can't wait to see them and the Tigers go at it next week. Should be a Great game!

I will agree with you, this is a JC/MC post, so us Boyd County fans wished one of your fans would not have dragged us in this forum, but since they did, Kinglion was responding. Now I am going to respond, Kinglions comments is exactly what happened, and personally I was probably as surprised as you are. I have some great amount of friends in JC and they should not be stereotyped or compared to one or two that gets out of hand, but one or two did the other night. It was very shocking and very hurtful to a couple of our players. These players probably could have handled themselves better, but didnt, I believe they were shocked of the actions themselves. Since then these players have been disciplined highly, I just hope the same has been taken care of likewise.
