  1. Excellent! You continue to make us proud.
  2. Elliott will win because I want it more than the Mason fans do! Okay, obviously I am kidding... I just hadn't seen anyone say the "Whoever wants it more..." line. I did vote for Elliott, but a Mason win would not shock me at all! IMO Knipp will have to hold his own inside, and the rest of the team has to push the tempo. Everybody will have to play defense the entire game (regardless of how the previous offensive possession ended).
  3. I have no problem with student sections yelling "air ball" (or anything else that isn't over the line). In fact, I really like it! I don't like it when adults do the same thing though. I have often seen one student section get in a "yelling" contest with the adults from the opposition. That just seems odd to me. Kids will be kids..... Adults will be IDK
  4. 102.9 is carrying it (at least on the web)... and 102.3 (Grayson)
  5. I don't think that Elliott played badly at all. Raceland also gave a great effort. Elliott used the bench a great deal tonight. .. That's a good idea considering the next 8 days! Timmy Knipp was called for three offensive fouls. I agreed with two of them (100%) and only marginally question the third. If he insists on dribbling so much, I believe he needs to work on a 12 foot jump shot instead of the drive to basket. This game had a few exciting moments, but overall was a little lackluster. A win is a win though.
  6. Senior night for the girls AND the boys?
  7. They did use the subs some in last week's game though (ice had a great game). Developing the bench will help.
  8. ...and I'll buy the popcorn, cotton candy, and something to wash it down.
  9. Quite possibly the best in the state.... I know... I know... I havn't seen EVERY PG in the state (have you seen every one in the mountains?), but I am highly impressed with this young man. I hope he works very hard on three point shooting and free throws. He has the meanest fade away that I have ever seen! Great Job SV... this Elliott fan is proud of you. Actually I have been happy all day. Hazard, SV, EC.... three mountain teams in the final four!
  10. I wasn't at the game...I said they may not be as far in front as some claim. After the West Carter Elliott game you made the same comment about Elliott. I agreed with you then... and I stand by my statement tonight. Holmes, Elliott, Scott Co, Scott, Whitefiled Academy....we're all beatable!
  11. As will mine! Height won't be the determining factor in this game (at least I don't think so). I say it comes down to tight defense on Justince and powerful rebounds!
  12. Glad to hear you say that. Many people are predicting gloom and despair for next season. You're right, we will keep a lower profile, but there is no reason to sink into a deep depression.
  13. The thread title should read "Elliott Co." Can somebody fix that?
  14. All A Semis @ 10:00 a.m. I hope for an Elliott win....so I'll call it EC by 6. Could easily see it either way though. I think Timmy Knipp needs VERY strong rebounds (and very little dribbling) or Valley will simply take it away from him. Tight "D" on Justice (and that probably won't stop him).
  15. I bet the atmosphere at the game was nice. I think it shows Holmes may not be as far out in front of as some claim. None the less, I think they are in front!
  16. The name of this thread is not EC v. AC predictions. Put this in that thread.
  17. I think the Cedar Hill team is better than SV. Some teams can play zone against Elliott. I have not seen the 2-3 played by SV, but I would venture a guess and say they have some type of 1/2 court man to use when necessary. If both teams are fortunate enough to make through the quarterfinals, I think we will see an alternating defense.
  18. Elliott didn't make the trip until this afternoon. At least I hope they made the trip.
  19. I really hope for a SV and EC game. I have no clue who would win. I don't make predictions for games in which I have not seen each team in action. Since I have not seen SV since the EC game two years ago, I wouldn't have a guess who wins. All things held constant, I would pick EC again.
  20. Judging by the ice near Morehead, I don't imagine that the games will be played as scheduled tomorrow. Here's hoping for a thaw!
  21. Looks fine here. I really want to see a SV and Elliott All-A game.
  22. I agree that Jonathan had the game (and is dependable). However, your assertion that he is the "DEPENDABLE ONE" implies that he is the only one on which the team can consistently rely. Jonathan carries much of the weight for this team. However, it is a team sport and some of the "supporting cast" carries a great deal of the burden as well.
  23. Agreed. I believe that there would be a devout group from the Hook to frequent MSU games IF he were there. Heck, I am pretty sure that there will be a caravan or two heading to NKY and Virginia next season. It would be swell if my alma mater picked up Ferguson.
  24. I didn't think that Elliott played badly. I thought the key to the game was the point guard for Morgan. He did an excellent job holding on to the ball. Elliott relies heavily on forcing turnovers. If they can't get steals in the backcourt (Morgan and West) the games remain competetive. Also, this is something that I have been noticing (and expect the refs to make the call any time). When Timmy Knipp is taking the ball out of bounds (after a opponent's score) he appears to remain in bounds. I know that one foot is off the floor, and the other is planted out of bounds, but he is so long it appers he is standing well in bounds. I hope they convince him to take the extra step back (with both feet). Otherwise I believe he will be whistled for an infraction in the future.
