  1. Rod Rhodes has to be on the list. Marvin Stone definitely has to be on the list. I would say Gimel Martinez has to be on it as well (he was a McD's All-American, after all). Rondo is a candidate. As for Jason Parker & Rashaad Carruth, I hesitate to put them on there, because they only played one year. I also hesitate to put Crawford on it because his career isn't finished.
  2. Dan Langhi was with the Suns very recently, but not sure if he's still active. Also, Greg Buckner was playing, but not sure if he's still active either. Rondo is one as well. As for UK players under Pitino, I know of these for sure, who at least had a stint in the NBA: Jamal Mashburn Tony Delk Derek Anderson Walter McCarty Antoine Walker Mark Pope Ron Mercer Jeff Sheppard (brief) Nazr Mohammad Scott Padgett Wayne Turner (brief) Jamaal Magloire Michael Bradley (Pitino did recruit him, but finished collegiate career @ Nova) Under Tubby: Tayshaun Prince Keith Bogans Gerald Fitch (brief) Erik Daniels (brief) Chuck Hayes Rajon Rondo Randolph Morris Kelenna Azubuike I may have missed one or two.
  3. I think John Clay reported in the Herald-Leader that UK is playing Texas next year. I too figured it was part of the SEC/BIG 12 showdown.
  4. Andy Katz was on Mike & Mike this morning--at 8:24. He stated there had been no direct talks between UK & UF, but that attempts had been made (I assumed this meant voice mails, message, etc.).
  5. I see what you are saying, but we can't possibly know that. I would think $4 million would be a ceiling--with or without incentives--for both UK and Florida. And my guess is that the guaranteed salary would be something like $3.2-$3.5. Incentives would make it $4 million. Again, just a guess. I'm the only one here who doesn't have "sources."
  6. If the ESPN report is correct, UK was starting at $2.8 million, with incentives up to $3.5. So I would say that $4 million (with incentives included) is not a stretch of the imagination.
  7. What show are we talking about and how can I listen?
  8. It was listed on March 28th--as you can see here: 26354.2 in reply to 26354.1 http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:snU3ErINrrkJ:www.parkersearch.com/current-ops-athletics.htm+http://www.parkersearch.com/current-ops-athletics.htm&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us&client=firefox-a
  9. The UK coaching job is no longer listed on the parkersearch website. Don't know if this is a goof on their part, but you can see it for yourself: http://www.parkersearch.com/current-ops-athletics.htm
  10. Thanks Elliott. You gave me an opportunity to go to Rupp and cheer for "my" team. Never in my life have I had that opportunity before. Spending Thursday and Friday night in Rupp...with most of Elliott County...was special. Thanks for the season--and the fun. I look fwd to November!
  11. Glad to hear that things went well! From those of us here in Elliott Coutny "Congratulations on an amazing career!" Although you caused us pain (the 3 to seal the win at SH last fall), and the assignment in general, you're well deserving of all accolades. I really wish that Jon could have competed in the regional tournament this year....even if that meant a change in champions. Nobody should want to win at the expense of someone's health. I think I'll take a drive to Evansville this fall. Proud that he's from the 16th! Go Evansville!
  12. It's an exclusive event for sure. So many never get the opportunity...but then again, that's what makes it so special. I have ALWAYS rooted for the 16th region at the State Tourney....no matter who it was. This year, for the first time ever, I get to cheer for my team. It feels good.
  13. Final. First ever trip to Rupp for Elliott County! Tyler Maynard leads the way--off the bench--with 22 points (six three pointers).
  14. 78-64 with 1:40 to go. McDavid held to just four points in second half after a monster first half.
  15. 76-60 Elliott with under 3:00 left. Tyler Maynard with, I think, 6 three-pointers.
  16. Maynard with his fourth 3-pointer--Elliott leads 69-58.
  17. Elliott leads 61-53 after 3 quarters. Tyler Maynard hits a huge 3 (his third of the game), and then Evan Faulkner hits 15-footer to close the quarter.
  18. 56-52 Elliott with 1:19 in 3rd. Timmy Knipp just picked up 4th foul.
  19. Elliott leads 50-46 with about 3:00 to play in 3rd quarter.
  20. Elliott comes out in a zone, and the pace has slowed greatly. They lead 45-43 with 4:48 left in the 3rd quarter.
