  1. Who really cares if NCC or anyone else move their freshmen to JV? It's called a freshmen baseball team for a reason. If there is no need to move freshmen up and use 8th graders then most "private" schools do not do it. This year is the first time Holy Cross has ever had to use 8th graders. Public schools cut freshmen and keep 8th and sometimes 7th graders. This would never fly at a private school because of the kids paying tuition. Which if you really think about it means that most public schools field the best team available at the varsity, jv and freshmen levels. Private schools like Holy Cross, NCC, St. Henry are limited to who they cut and when they move kids up and use 8th graders.
  2. Conner goes 1-0, Breds 0-2 on young season. 2 of the top 5 teams in the region. NCC struggling at the plate early in the year. Cain threw the ball well for the Breds. Pitched 4 strong innings. Taken out for pitch count. Good Luck to both teams. Two well coached teams.
  3. Interesting that this seems to be a bigger issue at Highlands than it does at Scott.
  4. IMO, OSU would lose that arguement to Carolina's class that year. At the time, their 2006 class was also compared to the Fab 5. OSU (1) Oden (13) Cook (28) Conley (31) Lighty UNC (3) Brandan Wright (5) Tywon Lawson (7) Wayne Ellington (36) Deon Thompson (55) Alex Stepheson (79) Will Graves

  6. :ylsuper: The 10th is a geographical nightmare. There's really no way to keep everyone happy.
  7. Not as crazy as playing on a Sunday afternoon like they did 2 years ago at the Fieldhouse. :jump:
  8. Scott's game Friday night vs SK didn't end until after 11pm. They had to come back to play CC at 4pm the very next day. They were also missing two of their top six in Hagfors & Jones. Excuses are like...you know the rest.
  9. I think my favorite was when they called a block and a charge on the same play.
  10. GRC shot 40 free throws, Scott shot 16...and two of those were a tech on Stenzel for hanging on the rim. To say that the officiating was bad both ways, well...I guess that depends on who you were rooting for.
  11. Disappointed in Wright's interview on the internet feed...he could have at least given Scott some credit. Also heard he didn't shake Carr's hand afterward...thought he was better than that.
  12. Congratulations to the Omega Flight 12u team. They defeated the Central Ky Tigers 36-34 in the championship game of the Georgetown Classic at Georgetown University. The flight avenged a 55-29 loss to the same tigers team on Friday night. The boys executed a great game plan in route to the tournament championship. Congratulations to Flight team members: Logan Neff, Zack Pangallo, Brandon Gray, Drew McDonald, Jake Whitford, Blake Losey, Seth Freppon, Kenny Ball and Spencer Hackworth. Great team effort boys!
  13. He must be a graduate of the R-E-D-I-C-K school of defense.
  14. I think he'll stay too. If he does, he's actually got a decent shot at beating JJ Redick's all time ACC scoring mark.
  15. When was the last time HC made the regional? Its been a while, hasn't it?
  16. Great win for Scott. Especially when you consider a lot of their kids were down with the flu bug this week.
  17. I think Jeremis Smith needs to cut his finger nails.
  18. http://www.insidehoops.com/nba-mock-draft.shtml http://www.hoopshype.com/draft.htm http://www.hoopsvibe.com/nba/nba-draft/2008-nba-mock-draft-ar41659.html That's just the first page on Google. Shall I go on?
  19. Lawson quoted as saying he WILL play Saturday.
  20. Your opinion is what it is. Regardless of how misguided or misinformed it is.
  21. Have you checked the 2008 Mock drafts lately? I know most of them probably aren't as qualified to evaluate NBA talent as yourself, but a few of them seem to think Hansbrough will get drafted fairly high. IF he comes out, that is.
  22. Add Marvin Williams to that list as well.
