gold sunrise
What does Holy Cross ( Covington) need to do to improve in 2007/2008? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
4pointplay
should be an interesting year in Latonia. They have an established star in Sorrell and an established player in Giwa but what else?

2Short
They have Sorrell...that's it. Giwa is overrated. He can go to the hole with anybody in this region...the problem is that he was no threat outside of 10'. IF he spent his summer shooting jumpers...you may be mistaken this year? The Indians will come up with something. These kids, year after year, are the only ones that don't know they're not that good. (btw: That is a compliment...meaning, they get more out of their talent (which on paper is not at the level of CCH / Holmes etc) than anybody)
cshs81
If they can develop any sort of inside presence then they can be a factor. Strong PG (Justletmeplay's assessement is 100% correct), strong 2 guard who can fill it up. They'll play hard as always but they HAVE to have someone who can score to free up Sorrell. Holy Cross will not be a factor in their district or the region. CovCath and Holmes will come out of 35th again...as usual.

They will have an inside presence, the question is how much can they get out of him. I saw him over the summer and I don't think he is ever going to stop growing. He has a long way to go especially with stamina but I don't think I have ever seen a larger 15 yr old.

The Bass kid is huge but how long can he play at one time? Has his skill improved? If he can give minutes and IF his game got better, he can be effective. Latch
I think the whole program needs to think they're as good as the other two good programs in their district. They need a big win or wins to get them mentally over the hump. It has to be in the districts. If they can get it done in the districts it will give them a boost for the next few years. Haven't seen him play this summer but did see him out he is taller and mabe a smidge thinner, I know the HC staff has been doing everything they can to improve his conditioning. If he can stay on the court for any kind of a stretch at all he will give them alot of rebounds and some mop up points around the goal. As for a low post threat he still has some work to do.
