They start the week of July 27th. Can't wait to see how we stack up against the West Coast team's. The lady Sluggers are going from KY. Daughter's team played them in the Stingray's tournament in Columbus last weekend. They are a good team and should do well down there.

Are any Kentucky teams going to ASA Nationals in Marietta, GA? If so list your team name and age group would love to see other Kentucky girls there. Our team is the Cincy Doom 95 U14.

I would like to add asst. coach Sammy the Bull, Elsbernd!!! As a HC alum, I debated to go to the game but I am sure glad I went to root on my rival Holmes Bulldogs!!! I felt so bad for Housley at the end of regulation and thought he would never live it down if Holmes lost the game. His teamates pick him up and hit shot after shot. Riley's 3 at the end of the 1st. overtime was huge but Central never gave up! Congratulations Bulldogs, I will never forget this game and it was well worth the money and time to go to Rupp and see the best high school game I've seen. All I can say is WOW!!!:banana:

If they make it to Lexington they will see teams that are willing to run w/ them. That will be interesting.

I'm not exactly sure what he could have done to have kept the game closer. Holmes is probably about 20 points better than them. If they knock down their FT's and hit a couple of close shots that they missed, but that were contested they may have kept it to single digits. Holmes was focused and played hard. HC wasn't beating them if that was the case.

I thought Trimpe played well. Holmes pushed just as much or more than HC

I'm not sure how to be more clear about this. Scott County let them run and even tried to outrun them. Holmes looks like a different team when other teams run w/ them. They have learned how to win when a team slows it down on them. They will be fine.

I think Pittman will abuse HC and Holmes will cruise to a 16-18 win.

Its coming back to me. I believe Harney blew a break away late trying to decide if he should dunk or lay it in.

I have been told time and time again by a friend that went to Homes that in 97 Holmes got HC and CCH in the first two rounds of the district but I can't be 100% sure.

Is that the year Conner beat them in a close one?

This is my guess and people are more than likely to disagree, but here it goes. Holmes doesn't play fast b/c they know nobody in the region will try to outrun them. Years ago people tried it but they found more success playing them in a half court setting. A few years ago Holmes quit pressing and starting sitting down and guarding man to man in the half court. They've been very successful w/ it. The staff figured that if a team tried to run w/ them they would let there athletes figure it out as they go. I was told recently that a press will not beat a good team in Lexington when it matters. It looks like that philosiphy has been good for them. They will blow HC's doors off this week and they will be a very tough out from here out. Boone will not beat them again, and they will prove their worth soon.

Really? I admittedly haven't been to a lot of games the last few years, but a couple of years ago I was frustrated that it seemed like 85% or higher of the block/charge calls were being called a charge. I was at a game where 6 charges were called and not one block. I can't be sure that they weren't all charges, but they were all questionable.

If HC played Holmes at Holmes, HC would be home team??? :idunno: Why do Holmes fans care about districts, Rupp holds more than enough and that is all they need to worry about.

I'm w/ you. Maybe not, but did they just find out about the complaints this week? I would say a lot more blame goes to the schools in the region than the BOK. They had it in there negotiated contract.
