SK's practice facility was funded by the allowance given to each of the 3 highschools to upgrade their athletic facilities. Dixie received theirs first because their facilities were oldest they chose to do other things with their money like that great looking sports complex they have now. Scott HS is in the first phase of their rentovations and I have heard that they are going to add an indoor facility in a future phase. The Scott HS thing is only a rumor, I have no inside connection to confirm this.

Twenhofel 6th and 7th beat Camp Ernst last night. Not sure the score of the 7th but the 6th grade won by 16. Also heard Turkeyfoot 6th beat RA Jones and St. Agnes 6th beat Woodland.

This has to be considered at least a mild upset. 7-0 Desales at Halftime, Indian's offense must have came alive in the second half

OK Campbell might not be going in the opposite direction but don't think that they have made the kind of improvement to pull off the upset. I watched them against SK and they were having all kinds of problems pass blocking.

I am suprised by how large the poll shows in favor of HC in this one. I think this game is all about the turnover the team that causes the most will sneak out with a victory. I hope that team is SK because I think we all want to see that rematch

Got to see a lot of the 6th grade teams play this weekend. Conner, Walton, Twenhofel, and Summitview all looked pretty good. Gray was huge and will be a force later in the year, Woodland was loaded with guards but could use one of Gray's bigmen. Did not get to see Ockerman and a few others play.

What was the final score of the WV, Gray game? I left at halftime and Walton was doing a very good job at dealing with Gray's size (they are huge).

With the South Kenton Nittany Lions Pee Wees, Midgets and Seniors all winning their Super Bowls they become the first orginization in NKYFL history to win 3 Super Bowls in one year. Atleast that was the talk last night after the Senior game finals.

2010 Erlanger Middle School Classic is this weekend. 6th grade, Lloyd 7th grade, Tichenor 8th grade Scheben. Total of 45 games and over 20 teams to compete this Friday and Saturday.

I spoke with someone in the Boone Co. School system this weekend and he told me that it is handled on a case to case basis in Boone. He gave the example of one of the Boone Co. Basketball players living in Cooper's School district and being allowed to go to Boone.

Did any of the 6th grade Highlands kids play AAU last year and if so with who?

In year 3 of the program I look for this team to be much improved. Sullivan brings alot of enthusiasm to the program and I look for them to be very competitive.

I don't understand why Boone Co. School system would have a rule like this. So in a scenario where a family chooses they do not want their child going to the school he or she is in district for they are forced to go completely out of the Boone Co. System or move. Does this happen often? Are there Boone Co. kids attending other NKY public schools such as Dixie, Beechwood or any other school?

Wasn't crazy about the whole Jemma and her Dad thing, kind of slowed things down. Now that it's over and they have brought some new recruits in it should be ramping back up.

I have to admit, I have not enjoyed this season as much as last but, it looks like it could be getting good soon.

So can a resident of Boone Co. pay tuition to go to a another High School in Boone Co. other than the one they are assigned to? Or are they forced to go out of county to go to a school other than the one assigned?

Is this the son of the Donnie Cheatum who played for Holmes High School in the mid 80s?

In NKY a student can go to any school they wish as long as they are willing to pay tuition and the school is not reached it's capacity. Boone Co. may be the exception to this rule but I know that you can be out of district and pay to attend Highlands, Beechwood, Holmes, or any of the Kenton Co. Schools.

Then why play the tournament? Everyone is measured by how they play in the tourney. They may have been the best confrence during the regular season but they in no way have been the best confrence come tourney time and I dont think the SEC has either, you need more than 2 teams to win an opening round game to try and make that claim.

Yeah it is a good thing that UT didn't have to play the number 2 seed Ohio St to get to the elite 8. ???? I'm no UT fan but they have earned their spot.
