I know this has been discussed before but with the weather turning who is using/has indoor facilities. maybe we can get some pics as well. Just curious as the team I support is watching and wishing we were practicing in this weather.

Not sure about the $$$$$$$. But in Kenton County the cost is many small children going to school in trailers.

I thought Simon Kenton was the only team who had an indoor facility?

Knox Central, Corbin, Trinity are others that I know of.

By indoor facilities, do you mean a weight room and lockers/offices? I took it to mean practice facility? Trinity has no indoor practice facility.

Mayfield uses, borrowers from the local indoor soccer complex that has a full size field and then some, we are fortunate it is there it only lacks goal posts

Ok so I gotta ask what does it take to end up with a green turfed indoor facility such as Simon-Kenton's ?

Generous and well healed boosters ? Lotto tickets ? Night time visits to the local school board members from Luca Brasi ?

 

Were there considerable politics in play ?

 

I'll be there this weekend for a basketball scrimmage and will look forward to checking the place out.

Clay Co. also has 1. Corbin has had 1 for a decade or so. 200k+ would seem about right.

I think it was all funded by the Kenton County School Board. The funny thing is they could have rented out pleasure isle indoor soccer field if they needed to it is only 3 miles down the street from school.
