Can anyone fill me in on the AAU scene in N KY? I've heard that the talent pool has gotten even better between grades 5 - 8. The next session is going to start on 11/1 at SOAS in Florence. Any teams or programs to watch out for? Players?

This should probably be moved to General Discussion.

I have heard that the Wolfpack has partnered with the Cincy Knights and are now known as the NKY Knights. There 6th-8th grade teams are very strong.

The Omega teams, Rhinos (6th) and Flight (7th) will be good again this year.

The Tar Heels and Wildcats will be good as well.

My guess though is not many of these teams will be playing in the Mt Zion league.

7th and 6th grade Knights are playing in SOAS league. There is a new AAU league forming at N. KY Midwest hoops (Sportsville) starting in December. It's structured just like the SWO league with 3 levels of competition. The cost on this league will be what SWO has charged in the past. Midwest hoops also will have 2 tournaments a month.

The Suns finished 3rd in the state last year in the 5th grade division and will be in the 6th grade division this year.

IMO, they are doing what should be done and not participating in a league or many/any tournaments while the school leagues are happening. This will allow the boys to play with their school teams.

Do you know what 6th grade teams (only) are signed up to play at SOAS? When does that league start and is it a Sunday league? Thanks for any information. Also, is the league divided according to the talent level?

The 7th grade/U13 NKY Knights will be. They should be one of the favorites to win it all!

Same colors....black and gold.

Wow, they must have some really good players. Who are their players and where do they go to middle school?
