The 7th grade Knights team will be one of the best teams in the state this year and a real contender for the D1 title. They will be able to compete well with the 8th graders at SOAS.

If the coach decides to play D1!!! He might leave it up to the parents again and play D2!!!

It's probably a good idea to leave it up to the team. If we are all being honest there are 3 or 4 other teams that should have gone D1 as well...not mentioning names ...Omega, KY Elite, Suns and Scott Co. Wolfpack (the defending champs)!!!!!!

8th Grade teams are:

NKY Rockets

Gators

KY Knights 1

KY Knights 2

Warriors

NKY Celtics

Tri State Warriors

NKY Jets

I'm glad you didn't mention any names!

It's all about the money - not the kids. What's new?

What is he suppose to do? They play on three courts. He doesn't start early because people go to church on Sunday. It is not like he has breaks on the courts. Having games going all day and part of the night means he has a lot of teams. Isn't that a good thing? If they started 11:55 and went to 4:00, that would mean the league is drying up. Many teams play weekend tournaments and request all their Sunday game to be as late as possible. I know my son's team does. Sounds like you just want to complain about something.

What does that mean? Do we pay by the hour now?

I guess the 8th grade girls don't go to church? They play Sunday mornings?

Just hard to get a 7th or 8th grader home and geared down for bed at 9:00 or 10:00 on a school night? I didn't buy a season pass just on case my child has to miss a game or two due to tournaments.

Just looked at the 8th grade girls schedule. The have one weekend where they play early. :ohbrother: Still what are the options, not play, turn teams away? Don't blame Perry and SOAS becuase the league has lots of teams and is busy all night. Find something else to complain about like the refs or the 25 cents raised on a large Mt. Dew.

Well that does it! It's all fun and games until someone raises the price of the Mt. Dew. I am done with that place. :taz:

I won't blame him, we'll just look at other options for next season. Midwest and nothing but nets (is that the name of the new Anderson township place?)are options that were never considered before.

Maybe talk to Perry about moving the ladies league to Saturdays?? I know right now the place is kind of empty on Saturdays. Would that work or do you think the ladies should play on Sundays?

Having many teams in each division is a good thing. However, SOAS has the most expensive league by far. It has been the only game in town and it's convenient for N. KY teams. It will be interesting to see what team's will do next year when Midwest Hoops gets it's cheaper league organized. competition will bring down league fee's.

Can anyone who attended games yesterday at SOAS give some recaps on the results?
