Rockets missing 5 regulars due to Parachoial tournament

7th grade Knights were missing 2 starters vs Rockets. One won't be back until late January.

This team could not compete against the U14 Tarheels or the U14 Knights (Gieman). It can compete against most of the NKY U14 team's.

Why aren't the Tarheels playing in the Sunday AAU league???

They have some players who play on high school teams. And, there is no way a high school coach is going to let his players play in a AAU league during the season.

If they are playing HS, they are not allowed to play AAU during the high school setting per KHSAA rules. Has nothing to do with what the coach may or may not want.

Even better.

Can you name the guys playing High School?

I know Hatton, Moeves, and McNeil? Any others.????

I thought that a middle school student could play AAU even while playing varsity ball. I know that I've seen it done.

They can. Rule only applies to freshman and above. The Tarheels will crank it up after school ball. I think it's good that these kids are focusing on school ball at the present. They should be the favorite to win the KY AAU State Championship in U14 D1.

Nick True is an 8th grader who plays for the 14U TarHeels. He goes around 6'4 200 and has been practicing with both the Highlands Frosh/JV.

I will check on that today, if I have the opportunity, and get back with you.

RomanEmpire is absolutely correct. There is NO rule that governs a kid in middle school regarding AAU and High School sports. If so, there were many who violated last year alone.

Noah Robinson playing for Simon Kenton.

7th Grade Knights beat 8th Grade Warriors

8th Grade Jets beat 8th Grade Knights

any updates besides these two?

Better check your source on that. I believe you may be incorrect. In Ohio that is definitely a rule, in KY I don't believe it kicks in until 9th grade.
