Admission cost at McGee's was only $2 and only adults were charged. A very good deal. But, our oppenent no showed yesterday so I can not comment on much else.

Where is McGee's?????

Where is McGee's?????

Mason, Ohio

Where is McGee's?????

It is on Reading Road in Mason. We are playing in their Sunday league. Facility is very nice (set-up like the Indy Fieldhouse).

If they are playing HS, they are not allowed to play AAU during the high school setting per KHSAA rules. Has nothing to do with what the coach may or may not want.

From the KHSAA Handbook,

"ByLaw 8

Any student who, after enrolling in grade nine has been a contestant in football or basketball at any grade level (9-12) and has eligibility remaining in that sport shall not participate on any non-school sponsored team or in any all-star game in that sport or any variation of that sport from the first day of school through tthe last scheduled contest played in that sport (including KHSAA sanctioned post season) by that school unless it has been sanctioned by the Board of Control. ".....

Case BL-8-6

" ByLaw 8 does not restrict student athletes until he/she has been enrolled in grade nine and played for a team in a contest at any level (grades 9-12) within the school."

Reading this, I'd think that eigth graders would be allowed to participate in whatever they wanted outside of school. That is assuming the coach either approves or doesn't know.

Isn't it owned by ex Bengal Tim McGee (or is it Tony)?

What was the score of the Jets vs Knights game??

51-42 Jets

Any tourneys this weekend? Also, what is the name of the new place in Anderson?

I think it is called "Nothin but nets"

That would be it, Thanks! It looks like they do not have tourneys now, just leagues. I noticed they have their own score keepers too. I would gladly pay an extra $10 bucks or so a tourney to have a place provide a score/clock keeper.

Amen to that!

Did hear of a few ladies tourneys going on this year? I've not been there yet, but with the options in NKY I'm sure I'll be paying a cover charge in the next few months!

The u12 Omega Rhinos start their season off with 3 league wins today at McGee's. They beat the Cinciannati Renegades 29-21 in their first game of the year. In the second game they manhandled a Mason team 57-12. In the final game of the day the Rhinos beat the Cincinnati Titans 48-35..Overall a good day of basketball....GO RHINOS!!!!

They were scheduled to play 3 league games in one day? I know playing 3 tourney games in a day is common, but 3 league games seems a bit excessive.

We aren't going to drive up their for just one game..They have two leagues on Sundays and we play in both..Usually it will only be two games on Sunday..

How would you grade the facility and the overall organization of the league?
