The MLK Tournament at Mid West Hoops in Cincy this weekend was packed. Had age division U8 and up to High School. They ran a great tournament, games where on time. And the refs where very solid.

Who were the winner's over there this weekend?

Congratulations to the Jets. there was a lot of talk earlier in the season about the 2 Knights teams and not a whole lot of love given to the Jets and the Rockets. Net/Net these 2 teams played well in the tourney and made it to the finals. I heard the Brossart kid set the tone in the finals. Once again congratulations to he Jets.

 

As stated before, the 8th grade knights team in the tournament is the B team and the Jets lost to the 7th grade Knights team (Moeves) twice who didn't play the tournament. I don't understand the post?????

From what I've heard the 7th Grade Knights team (Moeves) made the choice not to play in the tournament. What was that reason? I've heard some pretty entertaining excuses.

First I've heard of the 7th grade Knights not playing in the tourney. Were they the league champs?

I think they finished undefeated in league play. Probably missed the tournament due to other scheduling conflicts, which happens often.

Just wondering, is SOAS/Sportsville going to have any tourneys this coming year? I looked at the Midwest Hoops website and it looks like everything is at the Evendale location? That was one good thing about the BCI, you knew they would have a tourney about every weekend, and you knew early!

2 starters with a broken foot and 1 starter had pnemonia before the tournament. 2 other players had the flu the same week. Decided to get healthy before we play again.

 

The Jets, Rockets and Warriors are solid teams. Congrats to the Jets!

I believe they will make the 3 floors available for larger MidWest Hoops (Cincy) tournaments.

I hope the Knights heal up. I hate to see kids missing any hoops especially such fine athletes!
