Cooper travels to Holmes Thursday to take on the Bulldogs.

Holmes comes in 18-1 and on a 17 game win streak.

Cooper comes in 1-16.

Obviously, Holmes is the overwhelming favorite and could probably win by 50+, but how can a game like this help Coach Sullivan and his program in the future?

Thoughts?

The only way it can help is by playing their younger players to give them time playing in a varsity game.

You can bet it will not be 100-0 or 116-21.

I'm wondering how Cooper is going to score. Nobody in their starting lineup is over 6'2 outside of Story who is I believe 6'3.

Why would you schedule a game like this?

Why would you schedule a game like this?

Really! Is there a formula to scheduling games? I know you have to play district opponents, but what about others?

Does this really need a poll attached to it?

Why would you schedule a game like this?

I'm sure it is a conference game.

I hear some Holmes fans criticizing others schedule, so I was just wondering why the number 1 team in the state would schedule such a weak opponent. :idunno:

If I was Henley I would not play my first 7 players. Why take the risk?

I would also do it because my friend would be coaching the other team with a bunch of youngsters.

This is a no-win for Henley.

Is a poll really necessary for this game??

Actually it's a conference game that HAS to be played. Just like Elliott Co HAS to play other 16th region opponents.

Does it have to be played? Is it an actual requirement?

This thread was meant to be to talk about how a first year program like Cooper can benefit in the future from playing a game like this their first year.

It wasn't meant to discuss how bad the score is going to be, how many dunks Holmes is going to have, why EITHER TEAM would schedule a game like this, etc.

Each team has to play this game, so I was more wondering what everyone's thoughts were on how this game will help Cooper progress.
