I'm still going with Jay--you have to take the season as a whole. Code has a LOT more to work with. Yes, he did win the Class A state, but Jay had to come in fresh and produced one of the best win totals in recent years.

No disrespect to Coach Fite, but while Coach Code did indeed have a lot more to work with; Code forged a 24-4 record against a major league schedule with a class "A" roster!! Fite had an impressive turnaround of that program, and will undoubtably move that program ahead in the coming years. Coach Code on the other hand has taken an "A" contender and led them to a state championship, and developed them into a top 20 team in the state!! BTW--They are the only two in consideration for this award IMO!!

How about Brad Carr from Scott? Returns two starters and one bench player with any significant varsity experience, to lead them to 19 wins on the year. Their schedule has been difficult as well.

Mike Code is a phenominal coach, as well as each coach listed on this poll. GRC's coach is pretty darn good too. Some great coaches in the 10th. Mike Reitz from CCHS is also proven.

I also nominate Scott's Head Coach, Brad Carr. Let's also not forget he lost 1 of his 2 best players(Quigley) to injury 4 weeks ago and still has Scott headed towards a 20 win season and possibly a nice run in the post-season.

Code gets my vote. He has the most disciplined team I have ever seen. No one player trying to do more then they need too and trying be the superstar. To have a talent rich team and not a player sticking out more then the other. Says alot for the team and coach. JMO

If Code's not the best, then how does he do it with a team that NEVER has a player mentioned in the top players in the region. Coop gets an occasional nod due to his point production, but I consistantly see all these other players being the top this & that in the 10th, and none are from BB. The pre-season All "A" ratings had NO BB players even mentioned, but he somehow won the state with a ex-JV player with little Varsity experience leading the way?????????

I go with Carr from Scott. No one has done more with less.

:thumb: Agree on Coach Carr. He has done an amazing job this year...
