Not even close....Coach Carr from Scott. Has done more with less than any coach mentioned to this point. Lost one of his top two players due to an injury and team keeps finding a way to win.

Jay Fite seems to have done a good job but he was left 3 starters if not 4 from the Hammonds era which was a pretty good one! Not to mention losing 4 or 5 games lately!

I cant believe Brad Carr isnt on here, he has done wonders after losing several starters! I agree also that Humpreys has done a good job this year being in top 20 most all year and playing top competition all year.

 

Coach of the year

Carr, Code or Humprey those have done the best coaching jobs this year hands down.

Silver grove coach Tony Bacigalupo impressive record 18-8 not bad for a team that was not projected to do well this year.

:ylsuper: The 10th region is loaded with great coaches and they are all very well deserving but no way anyone has done a better job than Coach Carr. No one expected much out of Scott this year. They weren't ranked in the top 10 of NKY or the 10 region. Eagles are 8-2 without one of their top 2 players. Coach Carr has gotten the best out of this bunch. He gets my vote.

I would go with Fite from Bracken Co.

If Code's not the best, then how does he do it with a team that NEVER has a player mentioned in the top players in the region. Coop gets an occasional nod due to his point production, but I consistantly see all these other players being the top this & that in the 10th, and none are from BB. The pre-season All "A" ratings had NO BB players even mentioned, but he somehow won the state with a ex-JV player with little Varsity experience leading the way?????????

Cooper is mentioned by a lot of people to be on the all region team, and a lot of people think that Uebel is the best defender in the region. Myself included on both. With that said Coach Code is one heck of a coach and he deserves the award if he gets it. Personally I think Coach Carr deserves this, he took a team not ranked by some in the top 10 in the region, to the most wins for this program in 5 years, this while losing an all region player to graduation last year, and his second leader scorer this year to injury. That and he took a team with only three players with any meaningful varsity experience, and put together one of the best, most exciting teams in the region.

After some thought, would have to go with Coach Humphrey of the Cardinals. Had to play the first part of the season without Jones,plays tough competion and is the only coach in the 10th that can beat Mason(didn't say will,but can).

Hard to argue with Coach Carr either, and I appoligze for omitting him in my initial comments, as he's done a wonderful job with the Eagles this year!! Let's be honest though, the cupboard wasn't exactly bare at Scott coming in either? Everyone knew they'd be "size challenged" this year, but with Quigley, Sharp & Co. back, they HAD some talent!!

 

Anyone who picked them outside the top 5 or 6 in the region, weren't doing their homework?? I can assure you the folks over Alexandria way knew they'd be a good team!! 20 wins is definately overachieving though, and my hat's off to them!! That 10th region is pretty darn good!!

I agree 100%. Should be a great 37th District Tournament coming up.
