I agree that Beechwood is a power in class a ball,but as far as the tradition how much did they have before Yeagle arrived?

Our kicker will be pretty good so windows are in danger. The search is on for a new super and I think the district will be fine, although things are a little tight right now.

They may be on the year round schedule, which gives them a 3 week spring break.

Maybe to teach kids how to win, but on a whole I don't think so. On the A and AA levels you are forced at times to play older kids who can not and will not contribute on the varsity level.

I think it all starts with the coach. When I was at the middle school we had 17 players one year and scrimmage a team that had 70. I explained to our players that only 11 at a time could play,and if they let the numbers scare them we would be in trouble. I also explained that if you let it fire you up that it didn't matter how many were on the sidelines we would win this game. They never crossed midfield and we dominated. Went 8-1 and won our conference undeafeted. I honestly think if we hadn't addressed this we probably would've been intimidated and gotten beat.

I am not a Scott County fan, but did watch part of the game Friday night and saw no calls I thought favored either team. For some people to get on here and credit the win to the reffs, they must be true Scott County haters. Congratulations on a great win.

I would have to agree, just getting them in the weightroom on a consistent basis could be the toughest part.

Great news for Bucket senior and junior. He is a fine young man and a lot of schools missed out one heck of a football player. Glad I got to coach him.

Frankfort was in almost the same shape after the addition to Second Street, that was before KERA where they air your dirty laundry in public. Mr. Wall came in and tightened belts, they are in the process of doing the same. I will be surprised if everything doesn't work out fine with the hiring of a new super that understands the district and its needs. As for next years team I would have to agree with tall trees.

What kind of facilities do you want? Feild house is fairly new compared to most and field was redone about 4 years ago.

You need to understand what you read. Never said Foley was the savior of all the athletic programs,but that they have had enough since to keep him. Mike Oder leaving the school district had much more to do with Chalk and Thacker leaving than anything else. Don't know where you're getting your information on Foley trying and trying to find jobs other places, but I'd have to say you don't know what your talking about. I also thought Tory came because of his home situation at least that what was told to the KHSAA.

Whatever you thought of Coach Norman he got a raw deal. Frankfort hired a superintendant that new nothing about the system and just about ruined it. When you create an enviroment where the coach is constantly looking over his shoulder to see who is being allowed to stab him in the back it doesn't do much for your athletic programs. The state now runs the financial part of the district, and now with some good Frankfort longtimers running the district it should soon be turned back around. Their lucky to have any good people left there period. Thank goodness Foley has stayed with the football program.If things had been handled correctly four years ago Joey Thacker would be in his fourth year as head boys coach and FHS would be competitve with just about anyone.I will have to agree with Purple and CoachBuckett in the coaching changes having an effect and being proud of the seniors for sticking it out. I know these teams are subjective, but after having gone back and looked more closely at the selections I think how much talk a kid gets from colleges must have a huge impact. There's a kid on the first team who we played against for two years, we never had to double team him,meaning we had a kid handle him one on one and the offense did not run behind him that much. We easily handled them both years, his team never made it past the first round of the playoffs and he's first team allstate. Our kid who handled him one on one and who he couldn't block made the third team and someone said our kid was lucky to have made it at all. I can see why people are a little upset that some of their players didn't make it especially if you can make head to head comparisons like I did.

I think his height limits him as QB at the division 1 level,but he is a football player that played QB. He would be a very good DB has a great nose for the ball, and I can't believe he hasn't been offered by someone yet.

Not trying to take anything away from Beechwoods legacy and not to say they wouldn't have won all those state championships in the 90's, but in looking at the records for the most part Danville and Mayfield were in AA the majority of the 90's.

Exactly how far has Beechwood advanced in the playoffs, and how many championships have they won since Coach Yeagle left?

I never said NCC was slow, someone said they had played two other teams in the finals in 3A and 4A and made it sound like since they were bigger schools their players were faster than Danvilles.

I agree on the team speed, just because a teams in a higher classification doesn't mean their players are faster. How did NCC do against those two teams with comparble speed to Danvilles. I think I can speak for most Frankfort fans in saying bring home another title Ads.
