Next District Realignment?

I am not saying to create another region. What i am saying is that you could shift the alignment of the teams to create 2 regions that were primarily in Northern Kentucky. -
Next District Realignment?
sportsmaniac replied to Polar bear2030's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
There are currently 19 teams in the 9th region. You could take all 4 Campbell Co schools, and Scott High from the 10th, and take Simon Kenton, Grant Co, Walton-Verona, Williamstown from the 8th and you are at 28 teams. You could then take 4 more teams and have 2 16 team regions right here in Northern Kentucky. Possible candidates could be Pendleton Co., Gallatin Co, or head down the double A and pick up Bracken Co and Augusta. -

What has been the biggest upset this postseason?

Dont try to paint the kid who got the technical as a bad kid or that he was taunting. He has played his entire career and last night was the first technical, he has ever received. He was celebrating a victory in a win or go home scenario and did it maybe 1 second early. If he wanted to rub it in, he could have went in and shot the lay-up. He knew that wasn't the right thing to do and curled out towards his bench and bounced the ball hard. It was a bogus call.

South is a very good team. I enjoyed watching them play. I am confident that the Bearcats can get back on track and make a nice run to end the season. -

Actually the tiebreaker used was points scored against the other 2 teams. Simon Kenton 94 Grant County 85 Walton-Verona 82 I personally don't like this as the choice for the tiebreaker, but that is what was used according to District Tournament notes. -

Not a very good defensive performance by the Bearcats. Lloyd got some penetration and found shooters. I bet they hit 10 3's last night. -

Newport Central Catholic 46 Beechwood 38

I am not a Beechwood fan or parent, but they are a solid HS basketball team. Based on your theory that they need to win 1 game in the region to be a good team means that only 64 teams in the state of Kentucky will be good teams this year. The other 200 teams won't be any good. I just don't understand why when a game is close, everyone always has to immediately say their team played bad. Beechwood plays a slow grind it out kind of style. They are solid on defense and make you execute your offense to score. On offense they are deliberate and work the ball to get the shot they want. They are well coached and probably played a good game against NCC. Just remember these are HS kids not college or NBA players and these are coaches that are getting paid a minimal amount. I will argue again that Beechwood is a good HS team. Not great, but good and they deserve credit for what they have accomplished this year. -

Maybe Beechwood just deserves some credit. I watched them play Walton-Verona on Saturday and they are a good team.
