I am not a Beechwood fan or parent, but they are a solid HS basketball team. Based on your theory that they need to win 1 game in the region to be a good team means that only 64 teams in the state of Kentucky will be good teams this year. The other 200 teams won't be any good. I just don't understand why when a game is close, everyone always has to immediately say their team played bad. Beechwood plays a slow grind it out kind of style. They are solid on defense and make you execute your offense to score. On offense they are deliberate and work the ball to get the shot they want. They are well coached and probably played a good game against NCC. Just remember these are HS kids not college or NBA players and these are coaches that are getting paid a minimal amount. I will argue again that Beechwood is a good HS team. Not great, but good and they deserve credit for what they have accomplished this year.

Maybe Beechwood just deserves some credit. I watched them play Walton-Verona on Saturday and they are a good team.

I watched Murray play against WV on Friday. Best girls team I have seen in awhile. They have all the pieces and lots of depth.

Good game by both teams. Every shot was challenged today and both teams were patient on offense. Nice win by the Bearcats.

Just 1 or 2. He does a good job of working the officials and defending his players.

Nice win for the Lady Bearcats. Started the 4th quarter with a 7 pt lead and got it to double digits. Presentation played hard and battled back and made the Lady Bearcats play to the end. Cold shooting day for WV, but they will bounce back. They have a lot of good shooters on the team.

Walton-Verona must not be reporting stats because they are only giving up around 45 pts a game on defense.

I don't know what game you were watching. My son starts for WV and he never came back into the game.

Final. A nice win for the Bearcats. They were up as much as 20 before Boone made a run at the end of the game to get it to 10. Also, WV won the JV and Freshman games. 3 game sweep for the Bearcats!

Great game by the Lady Bearcats!

Great defensive game plan by Coach Brannen. Also, great performance by all the players last night. Zach Clinkenbeard was fantastic on offense passing out of the middle of the zone and rebounding the ball. Austin Lay did a great job on defense against Stanley, Elliot Brook altered a ton of shots in the paint and passed the ball out of double teams in the post well. Chance Sullivan and Evan Anderson were great against the press and running the offense. Jeremy Moran and Jared Poore contributed off the bench and provided great energy. Kyle Kinmon shot the ball great in the first half. Total team effort and a joy to watch last night.

But he can only play 5 at a time. Just like those A schools.

Nice post from a Highlands fan about the Campbell County players. It is refreshing to see competitors and fans supporting and saying positive things about the opposition.

Nice win for the Bearcats last night. Came out and had a good 1Q to take around an 8 pt. lead. Lost the lead in the 2Q, but fought back and took a lead into the locker room at halftime. Then gradually pulled away in the 2nd half. Complete team effort!

That combo, along with a good supporting cast, and a great coaching staff will make this team very dangerous!

Proud of our boys effort last night. They are getting better. Just keep working hard! Really missed Matt Clinkenbeard being on the floor last night.

The Bearcats played a great defensive game and challenged every shot. It was definitely a tough night for GC. Good luck to both teams the rest of the year. Prayers for Matt Clinkenbeard, WV Sr. who went down with an apparent knee injury last night. Great kid and family, hope he recovers quickly.
