I love being called Dude. I just hate when people make negative comments after watching someone 1 time. They may not be as good as your team. I don't know? Just say neither team played well tonight if you want. I just always try to limit my degrading comments as much as possible. Have a good night.
Is that the type of comment you would like someone to say about your team? Glad both teams made it to Regionals. Good luck to Gallatin Co in semifinals. Congratulations to Williamstown on a great year.
Just for the record, I never said I wanted classes. I just asked the question, if it was needed. I like only having 1 state champion, however I am not sure having half the games in the 1st round of regionals be blow outs is a good thing.
As of this morning 38 1st round regional games have been played in Girls Basketball. 19 of the 38 games have been decided by more than 20 points and 9 of the 38 games have been decided by more than 30 points. Does a school really deserve to make the regional and then lose by 30 points? Look at the girls scores from the 6th and 7th regions last night. That could not have been fun for players, coaches or fans. Thoughts???
Congratulations to WV on the win last night! Also, congratulations to Williamstown on making the regional tournament. The atmosphere in the Demon Dome was awesome last night. That is what HIGH School Basketball is all about.
I agree that you should not cancel a game because of not having enough players. If you need to move JV players up to have enough, that's what you do and play. However, if your school district cancels school then the game needs to be cancelled also.
Excellent point. I like it better if all district games counted. Currently in our district only the first game counts. Could come down to luck if where games our played.
I will say this about a draw. Back when I coach in a 5 team district there was so much excitement and nervousness when the district draw occurred. It helped bring excitement back into the last part of the regular season. When you seed, it eliminates excitement, but it does reward success in the regular season.
